A rivet was the 1st thing I thought of when the problem was revealed. Personally don't see a problem with it. If you don't like the looks, just stick a picture of Yosemite Sam over it. ;-) Back Off!

Still working the extra hour putting on new pedal covers. ;-) The non performance Model 3 and Y don't have pedal covers at all. My neighbor talked me into putting some aftermarket pedal covers on his M3. Incredible PITA. Installing the brake cover was not SO bad but the accelerator pedal...

It's not fun getting your delivery delayed a week or more but the alternative is getting a vehicle with a safety flaw vs one that is in top shape. The Cybertruck is massively new technology. Personally I'm happy that Tesla is working to root out any teething problems.
