Well, my sound no longer goes away even in warmer temps. It's in the 70s here and still as loud as ever. I can't fathom how the sound could be caused by the wiper hose but I'm so desperate for a solution that I'll try anything
So has anyone heard anything new on this front or gotten any satisfaction and been able to eliminate that noise? My noise seems to be getting louder even though the weather is getting warmer. It's crazy and I hate it!
Hi all. Mine failed, too. I just dropped the truck off to get mine replaced because it won't charge. The service tech there told me there is in fact a recall on this that came out 2 weeks ago. So anybody worried about this issue coming up in the future especially once you're out of warranty...
Perhaps I'm mistaken but as I understand the rules on a three-lane highway you should be driving in the Middle Lane most of the time. The right lane is for people merging in and out and the left lane is for passing. Once the pass is complete you come back to the middle. When it's time for you to...
The winding noise of the drive units isn't the sound we are referring to. I actually like that sound just like you. We are discussing a different sound which is super duper annoying and sounds like some kind of leaky valve or bearing noise. Very hard to pinpoint
Is there a time or milage limit as far as asking for a buyback? I'm at 17,995 miles and have owned mine since 4/24. They have no other options for me to fix this noise and I'm tired of hearing it
The only problem with that explanation is that I've had my truck for 2 years and for most of that time the noise was not present. It suddenly appeared about 4 months ago. The loaner I got from the service center last time did not make the noise either
Please keep us posted on what they may or may not discover. Some SC somewhere has to be able to figure this thing out so that we can all get it fixed. Tesla itself apparently has no idea beyond trying to swap out the front drive units to no avail so far. Seems to me it shouldn't be that hard to...
Yep. Mine is identical in timing and sound to your clips. It's getting super annoying hearing it every time I drive. I can't believe Tesla can't address it and solve it. Any ideas? Seems there are many of us
so what are our options here? Are we just stuck with a 100k machine with an annoying sound forever? Can we escalate, maybe as a group, to get some action maybe? There has to be a bunch of us. Short of that, what's our recourse? What're you all planning to do?
Funny but that's what the SC told me to do. Seriously. Instead of going all Sherlock Holmes and diagnosing until the issue is uncovered the dude said just turn up your music. Not the answer I was looking for...
That's crazy. For starters, only a fraction of cybertrucks do in fact make this noise. I've had my truck since April of 2024. My noise just began in September. Something changed. Secondly, Elon would never allow as standard a truck that makes such a loud annoying sound constantly. It ruins the...
The worst part is the SC has just thrown up their hands at this point as they have no idea how to go forward. So what now I have to just live with this noise forever? I'm not down with that. There has got to be a cause...and a solution
I was hoping the SC had used an older drive unit version on my repair as the sound persisted. Alas, they did use the same F series unit on mine as they did on yours. So not sure why sometimes it works and in my case it didn't. So frustrating. I swear it's getting louder in the cold too
