So I called Tesla the next day and basically said "Why did I get this email when I already had Powershare install completed and paid $5k out of pocket?" They said they would look into it and get back to me.
Later that afternoon I got a text that said, that I need to reach out to the installer...
Correct paid out of pocket. I ordered AWD because I didn't want to wait any longer. Planning to sell the AWD and snag a beast once production ramps and they start having inventory.
I asked the service guy when I took my truck in last month for a few cosmetic issues to fix. No change when I got it back and no mention in any of the documentation.
So I had my Powershare installed on March 16. Paid just under $5k for install.
Tonight I received an email from Tesla saying " Since your installation for Powershare Home Backup was canceled, we are providing you with a one-time use $700 Tesla Shop voucher."

That's almost exactly what i paid with Smart Charge America here in Austin. Here is a little pro tip. When I saw they were offering 0% interest for 18 months, I asked if I could get a discount paying in full. They took 5% off my quote so I just paid in full.
I don't recommend Austin Auto Finishes although I know plenty of people that do recommend them. I've had nothing but poor communication when trying to deal with them on quotes and timelines for my Tesla cars.
