I’m waiting for some major driver assistance. The truck mainly sits in the driveway, because many parking spaces are barely large enough. There’s no warning to help gauge how far to back up.

If I’ve got to put it in a shopping center parking spot, it’s just easier to take another car.

Anyone able to set up some back up/parking guidance mods with lines on the side mirrors?

You can't be serious. I've been driving mine everyday and having a blast.

I find it super easy to whip in and out of spots with the 4 wheel turning and steer by wire. It literally is simple to park after a very small adjustment period (maybe a week a tops).

Just go out and drive it. I take out my Model Y and had a loaner Model X when I was getting my wrap put on and they pale in comparison to the fun of the cybertruck.

A lot of people have never driven trucks here and it shows. You have one of the most impressive camera systems possible in a truck. Drive it more often and learn the car better.

Regardless of everyone commenting that you should already be an expert driving an unfamiliar car without most modern driver alert systems, you're absolutely right OP. This stuff should already be there by now.

Did you check the service menu to see what ECU's were updated? If so what version did you come from prior to installing .8.9?

When pulling forward into a parking spot click the camera button on your steering wheel. It helps a lot to see how far forward you can go.

When backing in the camera automatically activates.

I agree some audible sounds for assistance would be nice but I have grown to trust the cameras in the meantime.

What??? Good thing for you that Uber was invented. My CT backs up better (in general and certainly into a parking spot) than my Model 3 or X.

This is legit one of the dumbest takes I’ve ever read on this MB.

Congrats, sir. You’ve truly outdone yourself.

I happen to agree with the OP. The white lines that bend around as you back up or go forward into a spot are 2' narrower on each side of the truck. TWO FEET! What good are the white lines if they don't show where the edge of the vehicle is? I also believe you will get better as you drive around and get used to the CT.

Not everyone should drive a truck. This post is proof that CT is a ‘lifestyle’ vehicle. It’s a bummer that so many software feature aren’t ready but seriously get in your truck and learn its dimensions/footprint. You will be a better driver for it and we won’t have to rip on you (in good fun).

Just use the Autopark feature that came with FSD that you paid extra for. Easy day.

Have you ever driven a vehicle with a 360 camera? It blows away what Tesla shows on the screen. I haven't parked a CT yet, but I'm pretty sure the experience is lesser than any vehicle with a 360 camera.

The white lines are meant to represent the tire location and direction, not the sides of the CT. This is the same concept as found on all Tesla cars.
