thanks for the shoutout. My neighbor just forwarded me an EVBase ad he saw for this one, and he was surprised when he recognized it was me 😘
Hopefully yours came with instruction manual? My contact said they were finalizing the language so mine didn’t have it at the time. Although the install...
What did work, sort of, was yielding to the emergency lights. It gracefully pulled to the right lanes to let the cop through. But as he stayed behind me and confirmed I was the target, it kept trying to yield to another lane and let him pass!
I’m sure it looked weird to him, with me going back...
I reviewed the sentry footage while he pulled my license. now that it can show the MPH overlay I could see the truth, but I only recall seeing 84 mph at an glance and took his word for it. Regardless it was over the speed limit. My offset was relative +10mph if that even matters
Mad Max Mode just got me a speeding ticket last weekend. Cop said he paced me going upwards of 88mph (in a 65) he was “nice” enough to only ticket me going 10 over; said to lower my speed profile in the future.
funny enough I was thinking to myself how impressive mad max was at navigating...
Love mine. Only wish was to have some sort of wireless keyfob to more easily turn it off/on, and change to preset colors.
the blueghozt iOS app takes at least 15 secs to open, pair/connect and enable custom colors/animation.
Welp it worked! (Speaker still has no sound though as expected)
But I spliced the BSD light strip and the 10.33” CarPlay screen directly into the 12” digital mirror cable for power. All 3 are working simultaneously now.
so ideally a new harness is made for each accessory for true daisy changing...
I’m shocked I never noticed the passenger trim accessories were essentially muting that A pillar speaker. I guess I listen to music so loud that I couldn’t even notice. 😅
I’m considering splicing the 10.33” screen power cables directly into the red Acc and black Ground cables of the mirror...
Glad I found this thread. I installed the 10.33” screen today and sure enough it can’t daisy chain. I already removed the BSD light strip because I wanted my 12” mirror to work again. Following thread, hope our collective persistence finds a solution!
Hmm not sure I have that exact tool just lying around. Once you widen it, you don’t really need to adjust it again.
I’d recommend picking up something like this socket wrench kit, I use it all the time for my various CT accessories installs:

Yes it almost appears to have a filter applied to the footage. Definitely not as vibrant as the front camera.
this makes the rear cam stream look inferior on the mirror itself imo
I slapped together a quick video to demonstrate the quality and color differences. Overall, it's fine as far as seeing license plates and street signs.
(KEEP IN MINE I JUST UPLOADED THIS, SO RESOLUTION MAY APPEAR WORSE UNTIL 4K PROCESSING COMPLETES)
The wire can reach the front of the bed if stretched and tucked efficiently. (I’m mounting mine under the tow hitch, using an extension cable I already had)
I don’t see as much benefit from mounting rear camera on the tonneau
I’m currently still finishing up my review of this mirror; and I was also noticing the rear camera seems warmer toned, and almost seems worse than the front cam. I still need to pull footage off the SD card to compare the raw footage though.
