New Starlink Mini 2 entering production, now has a built-in battery

From the X post: The current hardware revision is mini2_prod1. The new terminal is slightly smaller than the original Starlink Mini. Its panel PCB measures 225 × 273 mm, compared with 236 × 276 mm for Mini 1. Average EIRP is also slightly lower: 27.4 dBW, compared with 27.57 dBW. The transmit...

    48v to 12v converter question

T-Sportline sells a 48v to 12v buck converter that has 4 outputs. It's not something I own, so I can't vouch for it, but it's sold specifically for the Cybertruck...

A New Way To Build Your Light Show!

Can you post some screenshots of the actual in-browser UI? Or even better, a clean video of it in use, even a simple tutorial/demo video of creating a lightshow. You can see a little of the interface in the video you posted, but it's not super clear.

Flying American flags on Cybertruck - a solution using bed divider

Yup, drove around for a few hours throughout the day, even had some rain. No issues. I never took it on a highway, though, just up to ~50MPH. Most of it was on FSD just running errands and visiting friends.

NEW PCS (Power Conversion System) Failure & Replacement News

After waiting 2.5 months for parts, I had the PCS replaced on my 2024 AWD FS CT (VIN 10,5xx) last week. My invoice reflects the T2-G version and ferrite round cable as well. So far, no issues at all 🤞

Safest/best way to carry propane in a Cybertruck.

Yeah, but at worst it's a propane fire/explosion outside of a decently protective steel tailgate :) Probably wouldn't be good for anyone that hit you, though. I don't have any direct experience with them. so this isn't a recommendation, but you can get them pretty inexpensively on Amazon...

New Tesla bed mattress. Anyone else order it?

I'm very curious about it, I've had one for a couple of years from another vendor, and it works well enough, but I like the integrated air pump system. I'd like to know how small it packs up, they don't have any pictures of it stored in the referenced carry bag. I wasn't fast enough to snag one...

Safest/best way to carry propane in a Cybertruck.

The only truly safe place is in the bed with the tonneau open, strapped into a carrier so it's upright and can't roll around, or in a hitch carrier. The primary reason is because of potential leaks, you don't want it leaking into an enclosed space, especially the cabin. And as @mongo noted, you...

Flying American flags on Cybertruck - a solution using bed divider

I picked up one of these hitch mounts, it works great! I wouldn't trust it on the highway, but I did drive around town today at up to ~50MPH with no issues. I picked up some 7' steel flag poles and 3'x5' flags, it fits exactly how I wanted. Also doesn't block the rear camera, FSD works fine...

Music & songs that best showcase sound system

My go-to track for testing pretty much any sound system is Last Plane Out by Toy Matinee. It has an excellent mix, great stereo separation, and good dynamic range with lots of layers. Here's a YouTube link, but I'd recommend pulling a high quality version from the service of your choice...

    PCS part waiting time

My PCS went out mid-April, and my original service appointment for April 29th got rescheduled by Tesla to May 26th because the parts weren't available. Even as of a few minutes ago, my app shows "Parts in Transit", I'm hoping they don't push it out again. Until then, the free supercharging is...

    Dreaded PCS Failure

My '24 Foundation AWD CT (VIN 10,5xx) was supposed to go in for PCS replacement yesterday morning, but the parts were still listed as "In Transit" in the app. I checked with the service center and they confirmed that the parts were still backordered, now I have a new date from Tesla for May...

Running Boards - any downsides / drawbacks?

I've had these running boards installed through two Tesla tire rotations, once by Tesla mobile service in my driveway in 2024 and the second at the service center a couple of months ago. It's never come up as an issue and I didn't have to remove anything. Edit: found a pic of the Tesla mobile...

Using Starlink (mini) wifi with Tesla Cybertruck, only for navigation?

They recently boosted it to 100GB, check it again: And if you exceed the cap, you can still use it, it just has data limitations. It should easily be enough for nav: Policy Link

Wheels wish list: disc-like wheel covers
