Only that Tesla won't touch your tires (roate or change) even with ones that don't block the jack points. But can just do that at discount tire instead faster anyways.

Running boards work well on CT as it's an odd height otherwise.

Will DT/America's tire change tires for ones with running boards that DO block the lift points? I'll remove the pegs that block the lift points but just wondering if they know how to do it.

Older-style running boards that use Y-type mounts do cover the lift points. Newer designs utilize I bars that don't cover the lift points. I made the mistake of purchasing the older Y style. I guess Tesla SCs don't want to deal with any type of running boards. Places like DT want the revenue so they will do it with running boards on. I'm just unsure if I have to remove 2 of the Y mounts to reveal the lift points, or if DT knows how to do it themselves. Probably have to remove the Ys for them.

I've had these running boards installed through two Tesla tire rotations, once by Tesla mobile service in my driveway in 2024 and the second at the service center a couple of months ago. It's never come up as an issue and I didn't have to remove anything.

Edit: found a pic of the Tesla mobile tech swapping my wheels in my driveway with the running boards installed:

I have these and pull tires to clean. No issues lifting with a hydraulic jack. Lift points are not obstructed.

My service center has rotated tires before even though I have running boards. My running boards do not interfere with the jack points or jack stand point locations.

Install is here: https://halocybertruck.com/article-list/f/mars-adventure-gear-cross-bars

I have running boards. Tesla has changed my tires with the running boards on. So no idea where you have heard they won't, but they defnitely will.

Ah nice, yeah they said they wouldn't put my truck with running boards up on their lift here in West Austin center. That is where I heard it, or experienced it actually. Was a little PO'd as its not a short drive to the SC.

Discount Tire utilized just usual jacks fine though.

I have the unplugged performance sliders w/step and have had no issues. Had a tire replaced and rotation across different service centers without issue. I do recall some boards blocking Jack points, but not these. They also don't affect clearance as they are replacement of existing plastic sliders and step doesn't hang from it.
