Is this what you mean by the lip? If so then yes. I took the pic after I had only installed the “lip” portion so I could see the contrast. I liked it so I installed the rest of the pieces. Easy install, looks great, and provides a little extra protection.

Agree, I feel the same way with license plates being blurred out in pics. Everyday I drive thousands of people can see and take pics of my license plate. Am I missing something?
