    Vulnerable PCS versions are going to fail through normal use. Using the outlet is no worse than Powershare.

    I've not put mine back on, but I was going to use electrical tape on the rim where it contacts the covers. I don't think it's the plastic scratching the rims, I think it's abrasive dust picked up from the environment that builds up and slowly sands the finish off the rim.

    Yup, my failure mirrors yours. I've thrown a few PCS errors and one day I had a weird 5-6A charging issue that went away with a power off. Still able to charge at 48A and use the outlets, for now. Hopefully it limps along until my August appt without me having to rely solely upon SC.
