With the current supervised FSD, sleeping or even dozing off is obviously not safe or allowed. But once unsupervised Full Self-Driving becomes a reality, how do people feel about actually sleeping in the car?
Assuming unsupervised FSD is reliable enough that the car can safely handle the entire drive and sleeping is considered acceptable, would you personally feel comfortable dozing off or taking a heavy nap? Would you be willing to fully sleep through a long trip or make it an overnight?
One interesting scenario: Once Tesla starts deploying Optimus robots (or Optimi) at Superchargersā¦especially along rural highway stretchesā¦you could theoretically do true overnight road trips without ever waking up. The car would drive itself from Supercharger to Supercharger, the robots would plug in and unplug as needed, do a quick external safety/ID check, and keep going. Basically a modern sleeper train experience, but in your own Tesla.
Curious about the current zeitgeist on this. Would you actually do it, or at least feel comfortable enough to try it?
