I've had success with Stainless Steel and More a Si02 stainless product which does not leave an oily film. It evens out the surface. Its a spray on and was developed for the marine industry. Sold by aquaarmorcoatings.

Finish with Aqua Armor Stainless Steel and More, it evens out the finish and puts a Si02 ceramic coat which helps with fingerprints and keeps the shine looking good for extended periods.

For the fingerprint OCD crowd, try Stainless Steel and More by Aqua Armor after you clean with Barkeepers Friend and Windex and then apply Stainless Steel and More after the surface had dried. Its a Stainless spray with Si02 ceramic coating that evens out the finish, reduces fingerprints.

After you use SprayAway, follow with Stainless Steel and More which has ceramic in it. It will even out the finish. Works great. Its hard to find and can be sourced through Amazon.

I had a similar discoloration on a marine panel. I used Aqua Armor Stainless steel and more, It evened out the finish and has Si02 Nano Ceramic to aid in longevity of the finish. I started using this on my truck and have been pleased with the result.

Thanks for the feedback. I will try those suggestions. A friend who owns a DeLorean dropped off a stainless steel cleaner that has Si02 nano ceramic in it. We put it on the car yesterday, and ill follow up with the results.
