I think you’re reading more into my post than what I wrote. I didn’t say recall all 75k trucks overnight. I said this should be escalated to a recall or service bulletin to bring the affected PCS versions up to G or later, whatever revision actually holds up, when they have that knowledge, and...
This should be escalated to a recall/service bulletin to bring all affected PCS versions up to G or later or whatever version shouldn’t fail at this point and make good on their customers who were the early adopters and supporting this new truck just my 2 cents
I haven’t put any skid plates on the rear yet. Still the stock aero covers for now. Rival doesn’t make them currently and the other company that did I think discontinued them do to lack of interest.
Not at all. Maybe 5 extra minutes to the install
Time to loosen and tighten two bolts of the terrestrial package where the rival skid plate butts up against
Yeah once you go a few times and have a blast and see it’s perfectly capable in so many applications you will want to go off roading more and more I know I was timid but now am confident in its ability
Yeah I think it’s more for the service center to have the updated parts that work with the terrestrial package. Hence why us early adopters of the package had to wait for parts that were not compatible with this package. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy it.
Interesting. When they installed mine they replaced the HV Battery Rear Skid Plate With Updated Part and was listed in my invoice(no charge for the updated part). I wonder if that’s the reason for the build date needed. Lucky they had this new part in stock but I did see others having to wait...
I got both. Looks great, plus the stock skid plate is nice but I like the thicker Rival one better. All up to you if you want just the control arms to replace the plastic aero covers or want that plus a thicker skid plate.
I had my aftermarket skid plates before I had the package installed, but I just waited until after just so I didn’t have any issues. Also didn’t know if it would fit with the OEM terrestrial package. I say when in doubt let them install the package then install the aftermarket skid plates.
I put in off road mode, set ride height to very high, and sand mode. I was going to air down to 36 but tried at stock psi since the sand was pretty wet and compact where we were driving. I had no issues. Didn’t do Baja(yet). Was just doing a test and trial to see how it did. Was so smooth. But...
when I drove back from picking my truck up it did feel like it felt stiffer and less body roll in turns but that might have been just me thinking that. More tests are needed to know for sure.
Yeah the Rival kit was plug and play. Didn’t take long at all to install. Took the stock skid plate off, then the aero covers on the lower control arms. The only issue I had with the Tesla terrestrial package with the Rival plate is I had to loosen the two bolts where the skid plate mounts by...
Well got the truck all washed after getting it back yesterday. Then installed the Rival front skid plate and front lower control arm plates. Looks pretty good can’t wait for next weekend trip to test it all out. Pics included, thoughts?
