Btw, the light turns on when the parking lights turn on so on unlock, it will turn on and turn off when you lock. It will stay on as well when the headlights are on too.

Its the depth of the wheel covers that make it not work. The core wheels are slightly deeper which is the reason why the cyberwheel caps don't fit on. They might barely clip on if you push it in hard enough but they will pop off quite easily. In addition, I also tried the caps you pictured...
