    CyberTruck low sale numbers

I agree with you. I'm replying to add some data-- I don't know what makes a market "small", but the average price for a full size pickup is over $70k. And there are about 180k full sized pickups sold every month. So cybertruck pricing is not out-of-wack compared to what people are spending on...

Reconsidering My CT order, YouTube Reviewers stating it's another Edsel, worst new car flop ever

You get a warranty. Try it out. It's not like every one of the tens of thousands of CTs on the road are constantly dying and breaking. Most of us have had little-to-no problems. I've read all the stuff about QC, panel gaps, whatever. It hasn't been my experience. My insurance actually went down...

Myth vs. Reality for common Cybertruck criticisms

Yup, it's a different scale. Maybe EV trucks will take off, or maybe not. Most of those companies making EV trucks will be fine regardless. They'll keep supporting their vehicles for years to come. They won't go like Fisker. At least not soon. It seems like Rivian is in a bit of a dicy spot...

Myth vs. Reality for common Cybertruck criticisms

Yeah, it was high speed into a big tree. I hope they study the crash and share the data they find. If there might be ways they can further improve the safety, that's great. But there's only so much a vehicle can do. Colliding with a big tree at high speed or running off the road down an...

Myth vs. Reality for common Cybertruck criticisms

Maybe it's too long. I guess it can be summarized: The cybertruck is similar in size, weight, and price as other EV trucks. It's actually a bit more compact, and has a bit larger bed than the others. It has a ton of safety features. The electronics and software are excellent. It looks...

Myth vs. Reality for common Cybertruck criticisms

Cybertruck myth and reality Cut-and-paste / copypasta Feel free to correct, revise, elaborate, and/or ridicule any of this “It’s too big!” The Cybertruck is actually smaller than other electric pickups. Height matters when parking in garages with low ceilings. The Cybertruck ranges between 68.5...

Tesla is buffing out Foundation Series badging for non FS resale

Exactly. That 15-20x multiple a bunch of us got buying in 2019 or earlier and then selling in 2021 or later was pretty sweet. The recent spike is nice, but it's still a less than 3x multiple for people who bought in 2021 or later. Unless you're using leverage, options, ...

Tesla is buffing out Foundation Series badging for non FS resale

This discussion seems to be missing a few points: - The VIN will be the same. People can figure it out whether or not it's a FS truck. - Model 3 and Model Y sold for years without any big update. There doesn't seem to be any big CT update imminent. - As long as they (Tesla) address the early...

CAR WASH for Cybertruck - Touch / Touchless?

I agree that the car isn't that delicate. Use whatever. I'm still getting the hang of cleaning it though. I've read the threads and suggestions here, bought several products, but it still seems like the windshield never gets clean enough for me. The stainless steel is never perfect for me...

Have you switched from a Y to Cybertruck? Can you fit it in your garage?

I reserved the CT right after the announcement and then got a MYLR to tide me over. I had to tidy up the garage but it fits. I bought a laser parking guide but I don't need it. The cameras are enough. Got used to it pretty quickly and I only have 2-4 inches for margin of error (I could fold in...

    Should I lease or finance?

Wow! only $34k? Sure, it's a good amount of miles but still. Ugh. Sorry. The fast fall in the value of the model S plaid is remarkable. Although most cases aren't that bad, a friend of mine has complained about the lack of resale value for his Model 3 too. These things change the calculations...

Headrest covers - are there any good options?

There are tons of seat covers-- I have one already. But I want to use the heating functions and I really only want to cover the headrest. Generic headrest covers don't fit nicely on the Cybertruck headrests. At least that I've found so far. Does anyone have any suggestions I should check out?
