That blows!
Good year was going to replace it (pro-rated) until I reached out to Tesla. Just a few months ago Tesla told me they initiated a "new tire campaign." So the tire was replaced for free, as warranty work.
Customer service is so hit and miss. Sometimes you have to talk to multiple...
I always do this while drying the truck after a carwash. Did this today as a matter of fact
Step 1: put truck in camp mode
Step 2: Toybox >Boombox > Play Current Media (make sure to raise volume)
Step 3: get out of truck, close door, enjoy tunes
I had this. Turned out that replacing the airwave module fixed the rattle. But....took me like 4-5 visits. They ruined the dash pad, caused another rattle, ruined the new dash pad also, etc..
This is probably a $20k-ish repair job.
I had a straight forward rear-end collision situation and I believe insurance paid about $8k. Bumper, crash bars, hitch, tailgate were the main components replaced.
I was rear-ended; bumper, hitch, tailgate, etc.
My car was repaired by Tesla Collision in about 2-3 weeks. Hanover Insurance. $1700 a year. Straight forward claim process.
I'm hesitant to order this because they don't cover the entire panel. I'm still waiting for a solution that would solve that.
Wrapping the edge of the panels....thats all I can think of.
I've been waiting for the option to have a white bottom half and black top half for my CT. How would I order that configuration on the website? Also, do you have any samples where I can compare your black and white gloss and satin?
The screw was near the edge of the tire so I already knew they'd have to replace it.
But to your point, yes, I see the value and I would purchase the plan if it were available to me. Too bad its only for purchases that are considered "new".
I've also always had bad luck with tire repairs.
This is the spot...I'm going to get butyl tape and do this myself. My SC won't acknowledge the rattle. They would probably break and scratch something else while "fixing" this anyway.
