My new plates just arrived !

I have owned my Cybertruck for a year now. But this new “Don’t Tread On Me” style of license plate just came out here in Idaho, and I couldn’t pass it up, especially after I found out that this “license number” was available! The bright yellow color of the new plates against my grey-blue Satin...

Go Off-Grid function introduced for Powershare

I have PW3. I assume I will be notified when the PW or GW update comes to implement my Power Share. Still waiting!

Go Off-Grid function introduced for Powershare

I would like to add a comment for @TyPope. Please confirm this on your own! I have seen enough "just solar" installations (without Powerwall) to know that *some* are not allowed to power your house in a grid outage! You can use your solar power to power your house or charge your truck only...

Go Off-Grid function introduced for Powershare

My gateway was "field modified" as you said, by the 3rd party installer. I bought a gateway from the website when I ordered my CT, and the same time I bought the wall connector. The electrician installed that gateway, and called Tesla for several issues. His company had delivered the correct...

Go Off-Grid function introduced for Powershare

I was told by someone at Tesla that the feature will come with a Powerwall update and an app update with “lots of new settings”. Use your imagination, but I’m guessing setting the priority between truck power vs PW power.

Go Off-Grid function introduced for Powershare

They said 3rd quarter of 2025 for solar and PW users. I hope that’s still the plan.

    Powershare install and testing experience

The last I heard, the Powerwall update will arrive in 3rd quarter. That could be as early as next month. (I have Powerwall3.) It will also come with a Tesla app update with “all kinds of new settings” (I’m told) to adjust the precedence between truck backup and Powerwall backup. We will see...

My Cybertruck FSD close call for today....

Yes!! Your diagram makes a lot more sense with the walkway for the exiting cars far enough away for the traffic to react! I should show that to the traffic engineers for the area I drove through. Thank you!

My Cybertruck FSD close call for today....

I have to tell someone about my close call for today. I was testing FSD in a somewhat complex roundabout in a nearby town that someone had told me about. The Cybertruck did fine entering and traversing the roundabout. But as soon as it turned off the traffic circle it slammed on its brakes...

Writer seeking input from Cybertruck owners

To Bob the writer: I suggest changing your Elon question to something neutral: “What do you think of Elon?” Don’t bias it with your POV.

Well, one good thing came out of this thread. You all got to know me! :)) Other than that, probably way past time to close it.

Disagree. What’s “far right” about exposing waste, fraud, and cronyism? Isn’t that just bringing the honesty to government that everyone wants? He’s a centrist. If you think Elon is “far right” you have led a sheltered life. But we are violating the rules of this forum by bringing up politics...

Writer seeking input from Cybertruck owners

To any CT owner even slightly conservative on this list, I lasted 2 rounds of private posts with our “writer guest” before I was dismissed. He wants to characterize Elon Musk as “far right.” I will let you fill in the rest.

I'm happy to help. First article for me. I hope I won't be sorry.

    Would you buy a Cybervan?

No way would I get a van based on the CT. I love the CT as it is. And I usually think of a van as a passenger city vehicle, rear wheel drive. No way I could use that because I need AWD and off road modes for my long steep driveway during our 4 to 5 snowy months here in North Idaho.

Is State Farm Insurance punishing Tesla Owners?

Not so sure they want the devices to be mandatory. Many people (like a few in this thread) would rather pay more for the luxury to drive however they want. The insurance company is more than happy to collect higher premiums for fast driving as long as the premiums still cover the risk. I...
