I didn’t see this one listed in this thread. Not mine, as I have a real Cybertruck.
Not sure how they got this, in California, must have requested it before Cybertrucks became popular.
(Saw this three weeks ago, at Santana Row, San Jose).
From a post in another thread:
Do we have any information that the Pirelli Scorpions that you buy new get really much better life than the ones that are original on the truck? One of the reasons for me to choose the Hankook is the expected durability. If new Pirellis are just/almost as long...
Posted yesterday in the other thread my comparison of the Hankook with the Pirelli Scorpion OEM. I changed from the Pirellis to Hankook at 23K miles and started a trip counter at that time.
Next datapoint on range. Did a 1250 mile trip over the weekend, almost/all freeway, on FSD, Standard...
Hmmm. I like these new four choices.
Parking is most of my disengagement, just because I like to park at a different places then where FSD wants to. Previously I used Preference for that, I think a dedicated Parking option is better. This includes parking at chargers.
Navigation is my number...
Next datapoint on range. Did a 1250 mile trip over the weekend, almost/all freeway, on FSD, Standard mode. Campbell to LA to Blythe to Campbell, all in CA. Included around 100 miles of off road driving, desert dirt roads.
My previous 23k miles average with the Pirelli Scorpions was 365.3 Wh/mi...
As mentioned, I do not care that much for looks, so for that Hankooks are OK.
For efficiency I have now a few more miles, 330mi. Usage 365Wh/mi, exactly the same as my lifetime average. Too few miles to be statistically relevant, at the same time not a large difference already. So current view...
My view, but that has to be proven still:
Pirelli Scorpions OEM tires are more expensive (fact) and less durable (I myself don’t have that data yet) than the Hankooks. Financially Hankook is “better”. If the range impact of the Hankook is huge as compared to the Pirelli, that could be a problem...
Wow, that are high numbers. I have done several long distance drives on highways, all on FSD. In 13.x I set the max speed at 75; in 14.x I only use Standard.
Highest I have seen was around 450Wh/mi on a few legs, but then going the other direction the numbers dropped to low 300.
Very odd that...
I took my wheel covers off after 18K miles, when I did my first off road adventure (with Cyber Odyssee) January this year. Didn’t put them on afterwards, just for the looks. At that time my lifetime usage was 362Wh/mi. It went up to 365Wh/mi after that. For me those differences are too small to...
Update after 280 miles, of which 250 miles of highway driving, 65-75mph. Not on FSD, chill mode.
The 280mi usage is reported as 372 Wh/mi versus 365 Wh/mi lifetime average (23K miles). Not a very statistical relevant dataset yet, at first glance a little less range than the OEM stock Pirelli’s...
The looks are a bit less “agressive” then the Pirelli Scorpions stock tire. in particular the tread pattern. But looks are not a major concern for me, long levity (and price) are.
Cannot say anything about the ride and range yet, drove only 25 miles today on city streets. Keeping an eye on it...
Fyi: I just got them installed at America’s Tire; $1325 including the certificates taxes and fees (San Jose, California). They ordered them last week Saturday for me. Just the tires were $226 each.
Just got my Hankooks installed. The tires got cheaper in the week between ordering and receiving/installing, by $12 each. I did buy the certificates, as Granch suggested, as I will do (some, limited) off roading. Total now came to $1325, including taxes and fees. Not bad.
Started a new trip...
Maybe a silly question, but if I do not have a wrap of any kind, and I just want to “highlight” the foundation series badges that look a bit faded on my truck, would the vinyl badges you sell be a good fix for that? Is it individual letters in exactly the same size as the original?
Two times, both as mentioned by others here. One time on the frunk lid, was loading stuff from a Costco card parked on the side of the truck. Grabbed next package from the cart, turned around and forgot to pull my head in. Light scratch, a few drops of blood. Another time on the bottom of the...
Thanks for the video. I also have a spare HEPA filter that I bought to use the funds from the voucher before they expired.
Why is the Cybertruck replacement interval two years, while other Teslas are three years? And where do you see that you are at “1%” service life?
edit: after watching your...
