Same story with me - was there to test drive a Model X. Took the CT out as a joke - then did an overnight text drive the next weekend, and ordered it immediately (February 2025).

SORRY TO HEAR THAT - certainly sounds like a computer issue! good luck with the fix. Let us know how you make out at the service center. My truck has been fine since the computer replacement.
make sure of course that your max speed is set at or above the speed limit my rolling the right wheel up
my concern was speeding up too much in slow stop and go traffic because the cars in front were constantly slowing in the typical stop n go pattern.
Really impressed with last update on FSD - one critique though is that in stop and go situations on highway, it accelerates a bit too much not realizing as a human would that it's stop and go, stop and go, not stop and all clear from there on out. Maybe that behavior is unique to hurry setting -...
Thanks for the info from Troy! Yes, he has his detractors, but he's probably close with the totals! Not surprised about Model Y's at all, just surprised that Model 3's are such big sellers. Where I live, all you see are Model Y's.
Saw 3 Cybertrucks in about a 5 minute span in my neighborhood...
Agree with above, but we don't really know the 3/Y breakdown on sales or production, do we?
S,X,CT, and Semi's were only like 5% of total production. Do you really think Model 3 is 28% of total to give you your 1/3rd??

better luck with your 2025!!
SC called me this morning and told me they installed a new computer and re-uploaded the firmware. They had the truck in service for eight days. Picked up this morning at 10am.
So far after new computer truck working perfectly with FSD.
Tested with 50 mile...
I hear everything you're saying, and your comments make total sense to me -and I respect your opinion.
You said twice in your post that you don't care what people think.
Still, you are worried about "negative social consequences" and "people [having] issues with the looks".
That my friend is...
The SAGA continues - so they're a installing new computer in the Feb 2005 truck to hopefully correct the FSD issue but unfortunately still have UNKONWN PROBLEMS that will keep the truck in service even longer.
I have already sent a buy-back request to Telsa' Business Team with a documentation...
My Tesla Model Y was rear ended with minimal visible damage to hatchback and bumper but the bill was about $8600 at Tesla Collision. My guess for that CT is $16,500, assuming no damage to frame. At least no cost for repainting! I would suspect she got hit at somewhere between 22-28mph, but no...
UPDATE ON NON-WORKING FSD with "autosteer not available" error.
Service could not really find a cause, so Tesla authorized them to replace the CT's computer. Now they have to find a CT computer, and the truck (taken apart) will sit in service until a new computer is available.
Nope - not at all, they stated, "It's your truck - you can take it any time you want - but if you do, you'll lose your place in line for engineering support", and then you'll be hosed and never get it fixed - ever, dude, so put on your big-boy pants, suck it up, and leave it here with us until...
Tomorrow will be six (6) days for a brand new truck stuck in Service. If they had done a proper PDI (pre-delivery inspection) they would have (or should have) seen that FSD and Autopilot were completely non-functional.
Supposedly, they are waiting for someone from Tesla in Texas to remote in...
IMPORTANT!! RTFM: it has all most of the answers. Did you really 'search' for maintenance recs on the Tesla website Cybertruck page?
