not sure what you mean the Tesla term auto pilot just means TACC plus FSD if optioned as far as I know.

The problem involved even the basic auto pilot and auto steer not just FSD and yes all cyber trucks come with a 30 day trial of FSD, but they had extended mine to approximately 60 days for some unknown reason closer to the time of purchase.
I'm not into politics. Funny you mention a connector - as the computer functions in every other conceivable way, and was re-flashed, and all SW reinstalled, it's probably some ancillary component as you say!
And all companies have issues - unfortunately, it's just particularly frustrating when...
The technology is amazing —people that have not had a chance to drive the truck or study all of its features have zero appreciation for how it was made or what it can do.
sure, it’s easy for people to point at the truck and tell you they don’t like its appearance, but their analysis doesn’t go...
I can try that approach - but the service dept's current position is that it 'hopefully' will only take a few days (no guarantees) until engineering at Tesla has a chance to look at it, and then finds the problem, then they will order part, and it will be fixed shortly after - from my...
Yes, apparently, despite refinements at the factory, as of February 2025, Tesla is still producing 'Lemon' cybertrucks right off the production line, and I don't mean Lemon-colored wraps!!
As Tesla doesn't let you drive your new vehicle before "acceptance", there is really no way to find out...
Bad news, even after installing the most recent software update (with latest FSD), FSD still doesn't operate. In fact, when pressing the round button, I get the message "Autosteer temporarily not available", just as before the update. Time for a service call.
just installed 2024.45.32.10 which has FSD v13.2.6
Will check tomorrow a.m. and see if the FSD not available glitch has been fixed.
PS. Tesla sent me a message today stating that I have a FSD trial expiring April 6 (about 8 weeks from now) - was only expecting a month of free FSD.
Even FSD on the Model Y, same issue - it simply waits FAR TOO LONG to brake when upcoming traffic is slowing down. Yes, it will stop in time. But in doing so, the braking/regen action is about twice as aggressive as my usual braking. To your point above, the problem is that people behind me...
Lease was suposed to be:
Min down.: 36 mo 12k miles 2702 first payment (includes 1st mo) +1085/mo x 35 months =$40677 total cost of 3 year lease
but by the time the final lease paperwork was calculated, it turned into, with no explanation other than take it or leave it:
"Min down.: 36 mo 12k...
Hey Redfire,
Appreciate your help - but you're incorrect on several of your assumptions.
Actually, all CT's are being shipped with the FSD 30 day trial, and FSD fully installed. My vehicle had Full Self-Driving (Supervised) Software v 13.2.4 installed from the time I picked it up. I also...
Maybe that's my problem, no wifi in my garage or on the road.......?!? If that's the case, maybe they could put that in the freakin manual... But if you have premium connectivity, why would you really need wifi for that?!?!?
Software rev is latest update pushed at dealer on delivery. Thanks - was planning to do the hold scroll wheel thing in tomorrow a.m. to try a reset!! Great idea.
Yep - must be enabled when car is in PARK which is how I did it - otherwise it's greyed out in the settings menu. Service dept told me if it's not activating tomorrow, then bring it by.
Let me just say how impressed I am with this car (did overnight demos before I bought it) -- > my biggest...
Also note, if it hasn't been stated here already, you will likely get somewhat better braking performance with A/S-core wheels than you will with A/Terrain cyber.
Ok, so finally picked up the new 2025 base CT (core wheels, gray interior) - did the basic walk around - wound up leasing it for 36mo/12k miles (got $1k referral/loyalty credit, $7500 incentive baked into lease), vehicle looked clean, accepted it - road test checked out....but, despite having...
I am sure everything you say is true. From my experience though, if you complain and speak to a sales manager at the location (and the worker Tesla bees do have managers), they usually will clean things up and make it right. Still, you shouldn't have to ask. Agreed, it's NEVER going to be...
