Yes, it is made FOR the Cybertruck so it is expected to fit. I even mention it in my first post but in my case, the bed storage space was a priority and this tent has none when deployed.
(Part DEUX)
After playing with the setup a little I realized that I forgot to mention a few things.
Tolerances are really low so Cybertent mode should be enabled only after deployment and disabled before folding. The reason being the automatic positioning of the tonneau cover will interfere...
Part 1 ... Part DEUX is later in this thread
I needed a portable camping solution. I tried to find a suitable used original Cybertent but nothing was easily available. A "want to buy" post in one of the Facebook Cybertruck group was even rejected because I quote the admin: "Too many scammers...
I'm currently looking for a Cybertent. My first questions is that I'm not sure if your listing is in US$ or CAN$ and also I'm located on the opposite side of the country in Sherbrooke, Québec. I don't need the covers.
Yes, as other have said, in some circumstances the lane change will be denied "BUT" if I compare with my Model Y using the same HW4 and same FSD release (which we know is somewhat different), in most cases the lane change takes a very loooonnnng time to make as in the Model Y it is initiated...
That doesn't explain the very high level of pre-orders after most of the specs and the look were known. The major differences between now and then is the price hike and the missed range target on the beast. It is conceivable that most are only price sensitive, I was a low 6000's reservation...
I already own the CT but a long time ago, before the unveiling, Elon asked for some feature ideas for the pickup truck (it was not called 'cyber' yet).
I suggested that very feature and like you I still think it's very relevant and would contribute, with other things, to set it apart:
That's a great suggestion and it is so easy to implement that there must be another reason why it wasn't done in the first place... Obviously the emergency interior button must be active at all times but still, it's probably related to a security risk or risk evaluation.
I too, would love to...
I live in the province of Québec in Canada so maybe the protest is more 'polite' here!
Just yesterday I was at a museum in Ottawa, Ontario. When I came back to the CT I had 14 sentry events (but no alarm). After looking them up, I had only 5-6 real events spanning over a few recordings...
