  1. Wind Deflector tested for towing range improvement

This.. is one of those times I'm going to have to come down on the side of "aesthetics is more important than efficiency". But, thinking back, I do seem to do that frequently... (AT tires, running said tires without their covers...) Maybe I'm just anti-efficiency and never realized it. That...
  2. Feels good boys, feels real good ..

If you sell your Tesla private party, or to another dealer, "owned FSD" goes with the car.... If you trade it into Tesla... they're stripping that feature off in the system and then selling the car used with a one month trial FSD subscription. They might be giving you some trade in $ for the...
  3. Safest/best way to carry propane in a Cybertruck.

    - Don't leave a lith-ion anywhere the sun can get directly to it, especially thru the windshield glass. - Don't keep 20lbs of propane strapped to the passenger seat for the entire summer. Other than that, not many places in/on the truck that are going to be problematic in real world day to day...
  4. Run off the highway by a semi.

DOT is pretty strict about the name on the cab being the legal name.. SAFER search only turns up one "EZGO Inc", so... my money is on 4095196 as well. If you look at the screencap... the one is.. kinda there? I think it's just very narrow compared to the other numbers, so it's hard to see...
  5. Why are 15,000 mile CT’s selling for MSRP on Carvana?

Supply and demand is a hell of a thing... I had a co-worker who, during the supply issues of the pandemic, was able to 'free upgrade' himself from a model Y to a brand new Y performance thanks to his ability to wait for delivery of the new one while the person he sold his old one two was...
  6. Trailer towing, WOW!

I only have one trip towing under my belt so far with the CT, but I found the opposite to be true, I put in 'low' when backing up to the trailer to hitch, and the moment we plugged in the 7 pin, the truck rose back up to 'medium' on me. During a couple of stops I would drop it back down to low...
  7. Major Battery Fault. Instant park and service! WTH!

Assuming it's parked someplace safe, close it up, walk away, let it sleep, come back. Those "may be restored on next drive" errors can be like magical gremlins that go away never (hopefully) to return.
  8. Does FSD read speed limit signs anymore?

I believe they get some sort of "nav dataset" for speed data from somewhere. Unfortunately for me that dataset has the road outside my house (single traffic lane residential, cars parallel parked on both sides).. flagged as a 50mph road... (talk about mad max)
  9. Mail trolls?

I'm going to take a guess here, based on the size of the blackout box... that the blacked out section has your address, but not your name? If so.. I'd venture your troll literally just saw it in your driveway or in front of your house and is hassling you for no reason other than want to troll...
  10. Strange thunking noise, even when stopped

I don't think the sound in the video is the HV contactors. I've never heard one quote so loud, and if for some reason your HV contactors 'thunked' while you were driving. well.. I don't believe you'd be driving much further, since the entire HV system would be going <thunk>Off... <thunk>...
  11. Am i doing this wrong or are these wheel covers not supposed to fit?

Here's the tip they apparently forgot to teach even most delivery prep people.. those Cyber covers (mantle covers?) are actually TWO pieces. The inner ring goes on first, properly aligned _between the spokes_ then the larger outside piece pops on that, (ideally) aligned with the funky markings...
  12. Switched to Hankook Ion HT 275/65/20 on Cyberwheels to try & boost efficiency

I put some Ion Evos on my Model 3 when they first hit the US market, was a bit worried having never touched Hankooks before, but ended up loving them. I'm interested to see they did a truck Ion... I may need to check these out when my OEM ATs give up the ghost. I honestly don't do enough off...
  13. 3.99% financing gone.

Your mileage may, of course, vary, but I ordered during the 2.49% promo around Thanksgiving... they ran the 2.49% thru the end of year if I recall. Thinking my delivery was going to be EoY (as they advised) I applied in Dec. Delivery was delayed to Feb, my original loan expired end of Jan...
  14. Permanent PCS fix

Engineers aren't in the business of building "Temporary" fixes. Or, to put it another way, the past six PCS revisions were all "permanent" too... right until they weren't. :)
  15. CyberBeast VIN#29 – Complete Power Loss, Tow Experience, and Lessons Learned

After reading this, I decided my time would be better spent skipping the vids if this was the type of insightful knowledge they were going to contain.
  16. Differences between '24 CT (AWD) and the '26 CT (AWD)?

I actually noticed the pedals were rubber on my 26 last night. I only even looked because I wanted to bask in the glory of the safety rivet... but there is no rivet! I guess that's the trade off, no rivet, but no metal pedals.
  17. Why I canceled my Cyberbeast order

Tesla hype and promises move fast, actual deliverables, not so much. They're not done selling cars until they're generating actual income on something else to replace it.
  18. Why I canceled my Cyberbeast order

At the end of the day, you have to do what's best for you, but as with all things tech, they're going to constantly evolve, waiting for "perfect" or "the next thing" is often a suckers game. When I bought my 3 in 2021 it was early in the refresh cycle, and people who bought just six months...
  19. Has anyone RECEIVED a 2026 Cybertruck?

Annnd... delivered on 2/9. Baltimore Service Center was a bit busy, so it took me about 90 minutes total to get out of there. Interestingly enough, my '26 AWD, 89xxx VIN, was delivered with: 2025.49.9 FSD 14.2.2.4 I was afraid, based on previous comments around here, that this was going to...
  20. First Damage to My 2026 CT

I assume there's some sort of range efficiency hit for deleting those.. I can't imagine anyone on the design team thought things that hang down around the tires would be a good idea for anything other than aerodynamics. ;)
