I believe they get some sort of "nav dataset" for speed data from somewhere. Unfortunately for me that dataset has the road outside my house (single traffic lane residential, cars parallel parked on both sides).. flagged as a 50mph road... (talk about mad max)
I'm going to take a guess here, based on the size of the blackout box... that the blacked out section has your address, but not your name? If so.. I'd venture your troll literally just saw it in your driveway or in front of your house and is hassling you for no reason other than want to troll...
I don't think the sound in the video is the HV contactors. I've never heard one quote so loud, and if for some reason your HV contactors 'thunked' while you were driving. well.. I don't believe you'd be driving much further, since the entire HV system would be going <thunk>Off... <thunk>...
Here's the tip they apparently forgot to teach even most delivery prep people.. those Cyber covers (mantle covers?) are actually TWO pieces. The inner ring goes on first, properly aligned _between the spokes_ then the larger outside piece pops on that, (ideally) aligned with the funky markings...
I put some Ion Evos on my Model 3 when they first hit the US market, was a bit worried having never touched Hankooks before, but ended up loving them.
I'm interested to see they did a truck Ion... I may need to check these out when my OEM ATs give up the ghost. I honestly don't do enough off...
Your mileage may, of course, vary, but I ordered during the 2.49% promo around Thanksgiving... they ran the 2.49% thru the end of year if I recall. Thinking my delivery was going to be EoY (as they advised) I applied in Dec. Delivery was delayed to Feb, my original loan expired end of Jan...
Engineers aren't in the business of building "Temporary" fixes. Or, to put it another way, the past six PCS revisions were all "permanent" too... right until they weren't. :)
I actually noticed the pedals were rubber on my 26 last night. I only even looked because I wanted to bask in the glory of the safety rivet... but there is no rivet!
I guess that's the trade off, no rivet, but no metal pedals.
Tesla hype and promises move fast, actual deliverables, not so much.
They're not done selling cars until they're generating actual income on something else to replace it.
At the end of the day, you have to do what's best for you, but as with all things tech, they're going to constantly evolve, waiting for "perfect" or "the next thing" is often a suckers game.
When I bought my 3 in 2021 it was early in the refresh cycle, and people who bought just six months...
Annnd... delivered on 2/9. Baltimore Service Center was a bit busy, so it took me about 90 minutes total to get out of there.
Interestingly enough, my '26 AWD, 89xxx VIN, was delivered with:
2025.49.9
FSD 14.2.2.4
I was afraid, based on previous comments around here, that this was going to...
I assume there's some sort of range efficiency hit for deleting those.. I can't imagine anyone on the design team thought things that hang down around the tires would be a good idea for anything other than aerodynamics. ;)
So, update to my previous (way back on page 1) post:
- Ordered 11/26 (AWD, Gray, Cyberwheels,+ Armor).
- At the time, order estimate was 6-8 weeks. So Mid/Late Jan?
- January 3rd app flipped to 'In Production' and I got a VIN (898xx)
- January 9th -I was told truck would arrive at SC on 1/26...
You're only going to get an 'FSD sale value boost' in a private party situation, and only if your buyer is enough of a Tesla fan to understand exactly what they're getting.
Dealers aren't even bothering to ask if a Telsa has FSD when it comes to appraising them... Year/Color/Miles/Condition and...
I've had an AWD on order for a little bit now.
11/26 - Ordered, at the time website said "6-8 weeks"
Never got any sort of update or date window aside from that from anyone or the app, but using the 'take this other build for quick delivery' option in the app, my supposed window was 12-26 thru...
"MEWANT".. wow, the first time I actually think those 'random china factory names' fits. Thanks for this. As for the heat... "still feel it" is good enough for me.. living in one of those places where it can be quite a bit chilly in the morning, I've become spoiled by it. :)
Given how (poorly) the factory material on the steering wheel on my Model3 has held up over 4 years... I have questions in preparation for my own CT:
1) Who makes this?
2) How bad (if any) does it interfere with the heated steering wheel?
Not to start a religious war.. but I've never understood the "I leave my wallet in the car" types... like.. my life is in the wallet, it never leaves my pocket. These days, I'm just as paranoid about my phone to be honest...
Service Alert in his screenshot reads "AMosfetHealthCheckFailed"... I may not be an electrician, but I'm pretty sure houses don't have MOSFETs in their wiring.
