Yes. If you're regularly towing long range, there is no EV solution really. There are a lot of people that use a truck for hauling gear in the bed that never attach a trailer, I'm one of them. For me, CT range is fine.
I traded my Tacoma for the CT and I wouldn't go back if you gave me a free Tacoma.
The haters kinda make me laugh at this point. Getting emotionally spun up over what another person drives tells me all I need to know about a person.
1. Tri-motor has the third motor in the back anyway. The front axel is pretty much identical to the AWD.
2. Tri-motor is fair bit louder (I only drove it while my AWD was getting serviced.)
3. I've been driving for 35 years and only had one blowout and that was when I was 17 and struggling to...
I have been getting "Park Assist Degraded" as well since upgrading. I did notice it only shows up if I have TACC enabled instead of FSD. With FSD on, it works fine and parks like it always has.
I drive mine through Minneapolis ever day. I wouldn't think twice about Indy. Just do what makes you happy and if that makes someone mad that's really their problem.
I waited and paid $72,500. A Tundra TRD Pro is $72,565. Yes, a base shitbox Tundra SR is $41,000, but that's not even remotely equivalent. The price isn't crazy in this market. They might have to adjust for losing the tax rebate though.
Hers has the steering wheel. I prefer the wheel to Model X Yoke, but I prefer the Cybertruck wheel to both, especially the tactile rather than haptic buttons.
My wife has an X too and uses FSD almost every day. But, she only uses it after she gets off the freeway because "zooming down the onramp is so much fun."
I've had mine for 3 weeks. I got aggressively flipped off by a crazy person 4 minutes after leaving the dealership with it. My kids weren't with me.
In the three weeks since then? Nothing. I've had people ask to look at it and kids seem to love it.
I think you're onto something. $72,500 is what got me in the door. Its an expensive vehicle but .07/kw charging at home knocks about $10k off of that price vs a gasser over 5 years for me.
I didn't realize it was an issue then. I figured I'd put it on advanced, hit check and it would find it. I do have to take it in for service (caught a lug nut on the interstate and cracked the windshield at the top on day 2 of owning it) so maybe I can get them to do it then if it hasn't started...
I picked up my CT on Saturday. So far I'm loving it. I'm not loving the 2025.14.300 firmware that's on it. I'm about to go on a week long work trip in it and I'd like to have it on 2025.26.4 for Grok, etc.
I understand that new vehicles aren't put into the upgrade queue immediately so new...
Yeah, I peeked my head in one when we were replacing my wife's XC90 with a Model X. Before the X even arrived Tesla sent me an email offering a weekend take home test drive on a CT. Needless to say, I'm saying goodbye to the Tacoma and picking up a CT on Saturday.
