Not all FSD transfers to a new owner, FSD associated with the LUX package is not transferable to a new owner. I had a FS AWD that had a transferable FSD which I transferred to my wife’s new Model Y, so you also need to check that the FSD is still with the vehicle.
You might want to reach out to your local Tesla showroom and ask if they have any means to allow a transfer or purchase for your replacement vehicle, worth a shot. Maybe even try DM to Elon on X
I don’t notice any difference, though I have it in FSD 99% of the time. Definitely notice a huge difference when I put it in beast mode, it is awesome, if it had wings it would fly.
Glad the CT and FSD kept your family safe. I have been trying to get some traction on X to allow people that purchased FSD to either transfer or buy FSD in a replacement vehicle if the vehicle is totaled while using FSD. Here is the post, if you are on X I encourage you to post something similar...
With my FS AWD after 40K mikes and many loads, it showed wear, but no worse than trucks with sprayed in bed liners. When I got the new Cyberbeast I went ahead and got a mat from Amazon that works great.
I traded my early FS AWD with 44k miles and got $76,400 trade-in about a month ago, but a month earlier it was $11,000 lower trade-in value, Tesla’s offers are very dynamic based on demand. I traded for a Cyberbeast with Lux package making it an easy decision for me. I agree with others that...
I recently traded in my FS AWD for a new Cyberbeast, it is definitely quieter, much better panel gaps but the biggest difference I noticed is a significantly better charging curve that I am attributing to the switch to both dry electrodes. I got it when they were offering the Lux package so that...
I went ahead and put the Expel tint on the windshield, if you get it through Tesla, they will replace it if the windshield needs to be replaced. In Arizona, makes a huge difference. I went with the 70, so not too dark but a dramatic improvement.
I recently traded my 2024 FS AWD for a new Cyberbeast. I would strongly urge you to go with a 2026, the charge profile seems to be much better and the build quality also is improved. I find the premium connectivity is well worth the price. If you try the FSD you will not want to manually drive...
I had a 2024 FS AWD and needed to install the roof sunshade, got the 2026 Cyberbeast about 3 weeks ago and just went on a 2,000 mile road trip, definitely much less heat coming from the roof glass, hasn’t gotten up into the 100’s yet so too early to tell, but I am hoping I won’t need to put the...
Here is what Grok suggests, similar to other posts:

This sounds like a classic Cybertruck “bricked” or low-voltage system fault (the 48V/MV auxiliary battery and related power distribution/computers). The constant dash fan (likely a computer/module cooling fan running hard in a boot loop or...
My first road trip with my new Beast has been fantastic, going from Phoenix to Dallas, the charge profile seems to be significantly better than my FS AWD. It is charging at 120+ KW up to 82% and remains at or above 100+ KW up to 86%. It didn’t drop below 100 KW until it reached 88%!
I am...
The crazy part of the trade-in was that my original trade-in offer was for $65,000, but due to delays in getting the new beast it expired after 30 days and the new offer was $11,000 more!
In my case I saved over $7,000 in taxes, transferred my FSD to my wife’s Model Y saving $8,000 and use the Beast in my business so I get accelerated depreciation, it was a bargain as far as I’m concerned.
Interesting, they told me my FS CT trade-in offer had expired and I had to re-submit since it had been over a month. I have been waiting to get the VIN before I re-submit.
