My first road trip with my new Beast has been fantastic, going from Phoenix to Dallas, the charge profile seems to be significantly better than my FS AWD. It is charging at 120+ KW up to 82% and remains at or above 100+ KW up to 86%. It didn’t drop below 100 KW until it reached 88%!

I am attributing this change to the switch to all dry electrodes, any other thoughts?

I thought the battery change happened in early to mid 2025?

It could be battery improvements or, if the weather has been warmer, it could just be warmer battery temperatures.

The amount of charge current a battery can take is very dependent upon the temperature of the battery and Tesla may figure it's not worth the energy expenditure to warm the battery artificially for the ultimate charging speeds if it's only going to save a minute or two of charging time.
