  1. Stainless steel Cybertruck chilling stones (Tesla Glass and Chilling Stone Set) new in Tesla Store

What makes you say they are hollow? Seems like if they weren't solid (or at least filled with something), they wouldn't be very good at keeping things cold...
  2. Starlink Mini overheating on the roof?

Are you sure it's overheating? If it is, it will say so in the app. When I saw the reset-randomly behavior, it was a power issue. I was powering it using a USBC cable to the truck; I tried two cables, but neither could run it in a stable manner. Ended up switching to a LinkPower 1 to provide...
  3. Hitch mounted umbrella - here's a good option

Looks really nice! I hadn’t thought of having it all enclosed - I’ve mostly been thinking about getting a bit of shade. Seeing your chairs in there really makes the thing look huge too! Looking forward to seeing it out with the truck, hopefully with the tent/awning if you have the time! Are...
  4. Hitch mounted umbrella - here's a good option

Perfect! I'll be the guy here clicking refresh every 5 minutes until you post your pics. :) I was thinking grey as well. Although some part of me kinda likes the green one too - but I think I'd want to somewhat match the tent. Makes perfect sense! Seems like it would make a nice setup for a...
  5. Hitch mounted umbrella - here's a good option

Keep in mind you're assuming flat ground also. If you're parked on an incline, and cybertent mode to level, then the rear of the truck may be higher than expected, at the same time the ground is slanting down away. Depends exactly what you're trying to cover, I suppose. :) I'm more curious...
  6. Charging rate appears to be below 1C

A few people here mentioned like 40 minutes to go from 10-80 or 25-80%. This is why, IMO, faster chargers (like ionna 400kW or Tesla 500kW) make a difference. It doesnā€˜t last long at the highest power level, but every minute you spend at say 360kW saves 3 minutes at the end when you’re at 120kW...
  7. Frunk storage for camping gear

Look, I'm here to talk about frunk storage, not bears. But this is bad advice IMHO, at least in Colorado. In Colorado, intentionally or negligently leaving food or trash out that can attract bears is illegal and a misdemeanor. With a new law, penalties have become stricter: Colorado Parks and...
  8. Frunk storage for camping gear

Thanks for this! That aligns with what the pictures look like. Glad to hear the 3-pack bags are decent quality. I'm sort of leaning towards the Front Runners at the moment, just for my particular use case, but I'm still on the fence. :)
  9. Frunk storage for camping gear

Many bears have learned that wandering around campsites at night is a good way to find some snacks that have been left out. They also often know what e.g. coolers look like, and how to get into them. They're not typically actively hunting people, however (except polar bears). I don't disagree...
  10. Frunk storage for camping gear

Pretty much everywhere in CO is bear country, and we have camping regulations about storing food, cookware, etc (either in bear boxes when provided, or in a locked car if not). This generally means my fridge, dry food, cooking items (cooktop, pans, utensils), and certain clothing and personal...
  11. Electric RV Trailer Built for Life Off the Grid. And on It. | Evotrex-PG5

Hey! I was pretty hard on you guys about the 270kWh thing in a prior thread. So to be fair, I wanted to say huge props to you for linking to your ā€œhere’s what that meansā€ page here in this post, which explains this in detail! Excellent change to the marketing site.
  12. CB vs AWD in handling…the data!

Wow that lift is seriously expensive! Seems like 39's would be a bit of a stretch given the size of the wheel wells - they mention in a blog post that up to 37's will work. I bet it would look awesome though!
  13. CB vs AWD in handling…the data!

I don't disagree with most of this! I personally have no intention of taking my CT on very difficult trails. A (long) while back, I had a modified Wrangler TJ, and took it on many of the difficult trails in CO, and also out to the Rubicon; I have an excellent idea of what's required to survive...
  14. CB vs AWD in handling…the data!

If a full size truck will be at a disadvantage, that’s exactly _why_ you’d want mechanical lockers! I like both trims - CB and AWD. But for me, for the way I use the truck, I would (and did) opt for a mechanical locker over multi-motor torque vectoring. But to each their own - both options are...
  15. Pirelli Scorpion OEM A/S to KO3 tires

Just an update - my lifetime efficiency on the Pirelli A/S tires, over about 2500 miles, was 402 Wh/mi. This included a long road trip, including mountain passes, with speed limits up to 80 mph on the trip, >90% FSD standard. I've had the KO3's on for a bit over 450 miles now, and their...
  16. Cybertruck insurance comparable to Tesla

Geico was the cheapest for me in CO. Actually Lemonade was slightly cheaper, but the Geico rate didn't require monitoring, so I went with that. American Family declined to cover the CT. And Tesla was about 3x the price (for identical coverage), which I thought was pretty crazy.
  17. Pirelli Scorpion OEM A/S to KO3 tires

It's noticeably louder than the Pirellis were. It starts right away, like 30 mph. It doesn't get too much louder after that - or it blends with the other noises so I don't notice. I think I was spoiled by how quiet the Pirellis were! TBH, I didn't really push the Pirellis at all, so I don't...
  18. Pirelli Scorpion OEM A/S to KO3 tires

I think I'm the only one around here who likes the core wheel covers! šŸ˜‚ Although I definitely don't like taking them off every time I want to adjust tire pressure...I can totally see the appeal of the center caps.
