Question for the OP: Are the seats in the Lighting all the way back with the trash can loaded in the backseat area?
It may have been mentioned in the comments, but I suspect the picture of the Cybertruck with the back seats folded up in in Easy Entry mode with the seats all the way back.

I think you're under estimating the MPH when charging on 220/240V.
At 40 amps charging my MYLR gets 35 or so MPH on my home charger, at 48 I get around 40 MPH.
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with a hybrid pickup. There is room on the road for every type of vehicles. I love my Prius, and if it were not for the CT, I might have picked up a Jeep Wrangler4Xe
Having said that, EVs and Hybrids are two very different beasts, and you can't compare...
If the frunk was the only lockable storage, I would probably agree, but the vault cover significantly reduces the need for a large frunk IMO.
People have been driving pickups for over 100 years, and no one ever complained about the size of frunk :) Now we have a pickup with a OEM lockable...
I guess the moral of the story is that if you design an EV truck to look just like an ICE truck, you have a lot of space space left over when you don't install a gas engine.
I agree in general. when I said 300 and 500, I should have said (around 300 or 500) I suspect the the initial range will be between 300 and 350. I don't see how they could release a truck with less range than a Model Y LR. The 500+ range version is going to have to be closer to 550 for people...
They could initially offer the 300 mile battery, and add the 500 mile battery later when they have a better battery supply. So I don't think we need to assume the weight given means only one battery choice in the long run.
I think it's safe to assume that it's electronic traction control, i.e. if one wheel spins, the traction control applies the brakes on that wheel, transferring the rear motor torque to the other wheel.
Having said that, since the aftermarket has a limited slip differential available for the...
That's what I got out of it. I really don't understand how any reasonable person could take what he said as "Tesla is going to offer bullet proof windows as an option".
If this is offered, it will not be standard, it will have to be an option. In many states offroad lights above a certain height are illegal unless equipped with a cover. Other states ban them completely.
Tesla isn't much for supplying different configurations for different states. So I...

The chicken and the egg problem won't last long. Tesla already said they will have accessories like racks available at launch time.
Even if it takes a couple months, racks and such will be available shortly after launch. It may even be that the mounting points Tesla put on the bed sides...
