I'd get the Yokohama Geolandar AT GO15. They are great tires that I've had on several full size trucks. Good all seasons, as well as the occasional off-road and fire road jaunts. I'd be at $1720, after military discount, no tire certificates and including sales tax and all the mount/balance...
The problem is that there is no standardized consumer trailer by which to rate it. A boat/trailer, a fifth wheel trailer, a flatbed trailer hauling a load of steel, a dump trailer filled with sand... All could weigh the same, and yet have massively different range/energy consumption.
Anecdotally, I can't drive 10 blocks without seeing a handful of $70-90k full size SUvs and/or pickups... and a couple Tesla's. IMHO, that price point won't be too much of a hurdle out here in Suburbia.
Doesn't make sense to me, I'd rather be able to partially close it as it is shown to operate in the patent. When partially open (partially closed if you are a pessimist), it would still substantially protect items under it from the weather, while driving. The way you propose, it seems it would...
RVs are not usually made to be as light as possible, and no a powerwall isn't as heavy as an RV, not even a fraction of an RV.
My RV (a 21' travel trailer), is actually made with weight as a major factor, so it is lighter than many in its class at about 3600 lbs dry weight and a GVRW of 5500...
My guess is the roofline is extended so the window, hinged from above, can fold up and back and nest in the extended roof. As long as the window is (fully) open or closed, the operation of the tonneau isn't affected. Doesn't look like there is a folding midgate though.
I prefer the Cyber truck, but I certainly appreciate why someone would choose the larger, secure frunk of the Lightning.
A toddler might walk in front of a CT without notice and a tween might walk in front of a Lightning without notice. I would hope for front bumper sensors and cameras on...
I don't think so, but to each their own. As you quoted me in the previous post:
"I would just let the individuals decide what they want to drive for their own use or preference, even if it isn't what I would choose to drive."
Firefighters, mostly Firefighter/Paramedics. I live a third of my life with my coworkers, working 24 hour shifts, we do routine work, exercise, train, prepare and eat meals together and attend to life/property threatening emergencies regularly. Extensive background checks are matter of course...
My guess is that the sail storage is either no longer in the plans, or it is accessible from inside the bed. It would be more secure and probably a simpler design, to have access from inside the bed.
Yup, a dozen years old! I think it was used pretty hard before I bought it a few years ago, but haven't had many issues with it at all! It's got a gas Hemi. I just put in new headlights (pictured) with integrated LED projector beams, which are awesome, so that updated the look a bit. The red...
How do all the other fullsize trucks do it? I don't think any of them have a "center" airbag. The frontal (driver/passenger) airbags are large and probably almost cover the middle area completely.
