Cybertruck wh/mi efficiency numbers (comparison chart vs competiton)

But you won’t be able to take it off when you want to. It will be tied to the cooling system and high voltage. No way it’s a user removable item. It’s also likely to weigh 600 to 700 lbs. It’s like moving a small safe.

Cybertruck wh/mi efficiency numbers (comparison chart vs competiton)

GM figured out the double stack battery for the hummer. I am sure they will use the same platform with the Silverado. Tesla should have and my bet would be they will go that route in the future. Tesla sometimes fights what the world wants and often compromises. A 40+ kw battery in the bed of the...

Cybertruck wh/mi efficiency numbers (comparison chart vs competiton)

No surprise. As i said before the CT didnt have efficiency as its main design target. If you have seen the engineering that goes into a rivian its incredible- not revolutionary like Tesla, but still amazing. The fact that they are only losing $30+K per truck is impressive.

    Ramcharger- Best of Both Worlds?

I think if its priced right and they can convince the world that this is more of an EV with a gas generator on board, to the truck world, that will sell. That is clearly what they are trying to do. I agree that most manufacturers are still selling flip phones and tesla is the iphone in the...

    Ramcharger- Best of Both Worlds?

Did the Volt ICE engine connect to the powertrain? or did it just charge the battery like they are proposing on the Ramcharger?

    Ramcharger- Best of Both Worlds?

Me too. I bet Ford will follow with a train like power system. It will make sense for a lot of truck owners. Gas is 30x more energy dense than current battery tech. So a little goes a long way. I can see people from contractors to campers really liking having that 130 kW generator built in. That...

    Ramcharger- Best of Both Worlds?

I wish the Ramcharger pricing was out so we could compare to the CT tomorrow. At first I looked at the Ramcharger and thought, these Stellantis guys are frauds. They are still just burning gas and calling it an EV which is true if its used wrong, which some idiots will. If you literally never...

Something the CyberTruck cannot haul that fits easily in the Ford F150 Lightning

Gus, I can always count on you to find the right solution to any CT debacle.

Something the CyberTruck cannot haul that fits easily in the Ford F150 Lightning

I think a lot of people see the CT as a car with a big trunk interestingly enough. And many just want the latest thing from Tesla. I have been waiting to pull the trigger on the best real EV truck out there for about 4 years and although the CT could use a few hardier design features in my...

    Im in a Pickle..

It does t sound like cash is a big deciding factor. If you are looking for bang for your buck you won’t get 2x out of the hummer. I do think the hummer will become much less desirable once the CT is on the street. And it’s a GM EV. Probably won’t have a lot of value in 10 years

Rivian CEO Doesn’t Think Cybertruck Will Lure Away R1T Customers... Agree / Disagree?

I think there are a lot of people out there waiting for a reasonable priced electric truck with a decent range (north of 300 mi). They all seem to be $70k or more currently. Range is important to many truck owners as many use their trucks to haul stuff. And there are a lot of really long range...

Rivian CEO Doesn’t Think Cybertruck Will Lure Away R1T Customers... Agree / Disagree?

I think if there is a dual motor 350 mi range CT under $60k, the other manufacturers might as well close shop.

Rivian CEO Doesn’t Think Cybertruck Will Lure Away R1T Customers... Agree / Disagree?

I think the average new vehicle price is now around $47k

Rivian CEO Doesn’t Think Cybertruck Will Lure Away R1T Customers... Agree / Disagree?

My college economics teacher told me, “consumers (everyone) are greedy maximizers”. And my lovely lowes plumbing department customer said it best one day looking for a faucet, “I want cheapa’ but betta’”. Folks, the trucks are in the exact same market. They are highly capable trucks with their...

410 mile range Rivian the better choice over Cybertruck?

I think the CT is going to be Teslas biggest test because its previous vehicles basically made their own market and they are S3XY, which is fading a little as more competition is abound. The CT has some real competition out of the gate. The Rivian is clearly aiming for the market you mentioned...

Does Ford Have an EV demand issue?

In a true free market things find their real value. I personally think they have shown incredible flexibility to shift to EVs and where their profit margins are they probably are pricing them where they need to to survive. Obviously many manufacturers are losing a lot of money changing to EVs...

What concept cars would you skip CT for?

Bollinger B1. Hands down a much more utilitarian truck. I am excited their new partnership may actually result in them producing the truck.
