Took delivery of AWD this morning, great experience, thanks to entire staff of Brandon MS! Truck was clean and well presented; red bow and smoke as it drove out the door. Good introduction and run through. Paperwork done in two minutes.
The drove 220 miles home and arrived with 26% battery.

Just had a phone call from the delivery center wanting to verify that I will actually be there at the appointed time for delivery. Said they had an event planned. She sounds really excited!
I assured them that I was just as excited.
Now that I think of it this is the first vehicle I will have...
Happy to close out this thread and report that my whining obviously worked because I’m taking delivery on Tuesday. Pretty sure I jumped ahead in line and took CyBeast’s order, lol.
Taking delivery of the first Cybertruck in Louisiana and Mississippi! Pretty excited; FS AWD; it’s been a long road. Spent last night reading internet reviews and customer experiences.
Would advise others not to do this.
Just noticed that my order agreement contains this language but does not define what they are.
Cybertruck shop offers all weather mats or carpet. Does the Cybertruck as delivered come with either?
Ordered on reveal day, received invite dec 20. Received VIN March 17. Sales rep tells me truck is in austin, waiting to be shipped to Brandon, MS.
Florida resident, but vehicle will be titled in Louisiana.
Louisiana is one of those deeply corrupt states that doesn’t allow direct sales and...
Nothing special; have had a Model S since 2012; owned a significant stock position but sold in early February, so no joy there. I’ll track down the adviser tomorrow morning and see what’s up with insurance.
Received the notice of VIN assignment this morning and sure enough there is a VIN on app. Ordered on announcement date, completed res on 12/20.
app says “complete tasks” and wants proof of insurance before setting up delivery.
Go to my progressive app and bind the Cybertruck and get an...
It’s just painful to go through and an enormous waste of time, especially in a state where Tesla isn’t allowed tk make body repairs. The Mercedes shop wouldn’t do a complete estimate until I gave them the car, so had to write a check to get them to order
The parts. I wasn’t going to hand it over...
Strangely State Farm estimated damage at a little over 6k; ridiculous I think, but it’ll be a battle between collision shop and insurance company now.
No, it doesn’t seem like much. Having waited so long slow production seems like one more blow for the company. This, coupled with lack of transparency on order fulfillment, is making a Cybertruck more unlikely for me.
“Wait your turn.”Actually my turn has already come. Reservation 2748171. All I asked was info on a number to call. The Bs from some members of this forum is astounding and awful.
Just to answer a few questions asked:
1) This is a 2012 Tesla, which has given 12 years of extraordinary trouble free service. Battery charge is now reduced to 238 miles at full capacity, but I typically drive fewer than 100 miles in a day. I think I've had three service incidents in its life...
