Not arguing here - but this does not match the reality that most of us are seeing. Yes, Tesla has said it (as of update 2024.26.1), but it is still reading map data most of the time. That, or it is trying to blend the two.

The black tape deal was back in 2020 when researchers were testing things - that is when Tesla started relying on map data until they could figure things out.

Again, still a work in progress, but still not relying on reading speed limit signs most of the time.
It's not. Your anecdotes aren't supported but by a few people's misperceptions. Tesla does read the wrong signs often, but it's always reading signs and that's always priority over map data, which as of last year, is what publishes speed limit signs to the map, other car's cameras.

You missed my examples from just last week.

No signs, several times, yet it thinks the speed drops. I am not talking about no speed limit signs, I am talking about no signs anywhere, such as on a rural highway surrounded by fields. So, this is not the truck misreading a different sign. And, it happens in exactly the same places. So, it cannot be a random misread. It is bad map data.

So, not just me. Not just a few people. Hard reality. It is not working as they are saying. It might be heading that way, but it is not today's reality.

Would you please take this convo to an appropriate (separate) thread?

I disagree with your assessment and your leap to think there's map data procured by Tesla that has random speed limits. It's illogical, but people believe their perception is reality. I'm just saying that Tesla, people who look at Tesla code, testers, and influencers all disagree and have verifiable proof your conclusion is incorrect.

I'll leave it at that.

IKR? Would be horrible to ruin another thread of "I just got it" spam for the latest nothing burger release that's literally just as it says... minor bugs/fixes.

These threads are literally useless outside of useful and significant step changes.

Does it fix the dangerous slamming of brakes on highway in cruise control and FSD? Wow, so startling and annoying as F! Does it even when there's nothing around.
What cruise control, there is only FSD for Cybertruck.
Please explain.

Good, I am asking because I too have that horrible rattling noise on the Cyberbeast air compressor when raising suspension at various locations, including my home driveway.
I just talked to support about it again today and they said make a service appointment. HA! I dont want them just Willy Nilly replacing parts and saying ā€œwe fixed it!ā€ When in reality it was something to do with a software update that perhaps changed the air compressor limit sensors and finally allows it to shut off when its supposed to, instead of randomly pumping non stop until an alert on screen states ā€œAir Compressor temperature above operating limit - raising suspension is temporarily disabledā€œ plus the loud rattling noise that can be heard over music inside the cabin and obviously outside standing anywhere near the truck. It’s embarrassing to say the least, as none of my other Teslas with air suspension makes loud rattling noise Ratta Tat Tat Ratta Tat Tat! Until a loud burst of air is heard when it finally decides to stop pumping.

The strange part is, the rattling noise I thought was from the mounting bracket of the air compressor hitting against the vehicle chassis under the truck bed. If it was really fixed with a software update I will be totally surprised and shocked.

there is cruise control, adaptive CC to be specific. Go to the autopilot tab and it is to the left of the FSD.
