Inspired by DIY others on this site, I decided I wanted underseat 2nd row storage for a IFAK and other travel necessities (air pillows /lightweight blanket).
Solution was underseat molle/pals panels:
The storage is convenient, doesn’t take up floor space, and is close at hand.
I used cheap hook&loop straps through the molle/pals panels to ensure the IFAK was grab/go in an emergency.
The project was significantly more difficult than expected, but yielded adequate results. The rear-seat support frame has mounting bosses that were be re—purposed for additional bracketry. So that was the plan.
The fixturing bosses are M8x1.0.
This is what the supporting structure (in general) looks like.
This is a detail of the support bracketing beneath the underseat closeoff panel.
I was concerned about the M6x1.0 standoffs being so I put nut-serts/riv-nuts where the standoffs terminated in the new support
