🚨 Having a fridge in the Cybertruck is a total gamechanger. I wasn’t a believer… until I got one.

I went with the
BougeRV 12 Volt Refrigerator 12V Car Fridge 23 Quart Portable Freezer

Here’s what I found:
• Backseat placement works perfect (no kids, just dogs šŸ•)
• Runs cooler than if you stick it in the bed (heard it can overheat there)
• On our first road trip, it cooled down in ~20 mins
• Can even slot it on the 2nd row floor for easy access

Honestly, way more useful than I expected.

I like the ICECO go20 for this application. It’s the only thing I’ve found this small that’s dual zone. You want cold drinks AND popsicles/pint of Ben and Jerry’s in your truck?

Pro tip. If you have kids put a piece of clear ppf
over the top of it and it becomes invincible as a step.

I want a fridge that I can use between my CT and my wife's Model 3. I don't think the Model 3 has a 12V in the trunk, so if there are any good ideas out there...

Note, I need something simple and effective, since I usually only have 2 passengers for the CT, and the rear seats are folded up. We use the 3 for the family trip, and it is better if it goes in the trunk.

For the 3 I’d probably go with one of those dedicated subtrunk fridges.

We had one in the model x so I’m not sure how they get around the whole ā€œno cigarette lighter port in the backā€.
That said, there are plenty of batteries that accept usb-c power which can be routed back there very easily with super slim cable and spit out 12v output.
For example :

Even some options that incorporate the usb charging battery into the fridge.

Whatever you get will likely fit into the Cybertruck somewhere. Probably in the cabin but push comes to shove in the vault.

A lot of great info here, and it gives me a lot of options.
I am unsure about the portable battery as I can't count on my wife to charge it diligently, and the fridge would be good+ for her shopping needs in the summer here in Dallas. Thus, I may end up getting the sub trunk for her 3 and just a generic one for my CT.

I suppose I can have CarToys wire me up something for the Model 3 to keep the fridge alive at all times?

Why not just leave the battery plugged into a usb-c and enable the ā€œkeep aux power onā€ checkmark?

I have the same fridge. It’s been great! I haven’t used it in the backseat floor but it’s a tight fit. I’d have to move my passenger seat up a little bit. Good to see you got it to fit.

I’ve only used it in the bed and can confirm it can overheat if ambient temps are in the mid to high 90s (F). It just shuts off. If the tonneau wasn’t closed, I think it would be fine.

Fridges generate heat. So it's better to put them in locations where venting that heat out is easier...

Cabin fridges make a lot of sense in a car with cabin overheat protection.
Thats one of the things that makes this one so great. I love mine.

The ICECO is still my fave but the footwell thing and not taking up a bunch of space is awesome. Not all rainbows and unicorns, need to convert it to dc and get a battery but it’s great
