We are planning on a blevy of Cybertrucks to arrive in Monument Valley, Arizona, for this coming 4th of July weekend.
I just reserved a 50-foot RV slip for my Cybertruck and for my son's Model Y for Thursday 7-3 through Sunday morning 7-6. My group will be me, my wife, our 2 sons (our oldest is autistic), and one of our son's girlfriends (and our German Shepherd). We have a Mars RTT, and the Urander rack/awning/side panels. (We just returned from camping in Zion Nat'l Park and it was awesome over Memorial weekend.)
Forum member Hemiarch has expressed interest, and we'll be reaching out to other CT owners. ANYONE that wants to join is free to book their own RV slip and come with!!
There are tours, hikes, Forrest Gump's road, a museum/trading post, a swimming pool, a mini-market and grocery store, and just plain beautiful nature. Highs in the 90s and lows in the 60s are expected. It could rain but that is not expected. 90 is a little warm but the temps drop quickly in the area after the sun goes down.
I just spoke with Goulding's and they are at about 30% capacity right now. Their cabins, hotel rooms, and casitas DO NOT have easy access to 30 or 50 amp charging plugs. So if you book, make sure to book either a 20, a 40, or a 50 foot RV slip that has a 30-amp or a 50-amp plug.
Goulding's has 2 rates: one is higher and refundable until about 6-30 and the other is about 20% less but non-refundable.
We plan to charge in Phoenix area, then Flagstaff, then Kayenta, then the RV park in Monument Valley.
ANYONE needing assistance configuring their rig (wiring the accessory feeds, for example) please contact me and we'll help to get you setup and figured out!
There are few things better than freedom, except family and friends. Combining these things is the best of everything!
I will have EAS'd (End-of-Active-Service) from the Marine Corps exactly 30 years-to-the-day this 4th of July.
Let Freedom Ring!!
