Hi Cybertruck Owners Club,
I represent the team at LAMTTO.
First off, congrats to everyone who has taken delivery. The beast looks unreal in person.
We know the Cybertruck has the best built-in security system (Sentry Mode) on the planet. However, we've seen enough "smash and grab" videos to know that smart thieves are now looking for the USB storage drive to destroy the evidence.
Our Concept: We have a 4G LTE Dashcam (Model DC22) that provides Real-time Cloud Backup.
The idea is simple: Even if the truck is broken into and the local storage is taken, the video of the thief's face is already safe on your phone/cloud via 4G network.
LAMTTO DC22 4G LTE DashCam
Key Features we think apply to the CT:
"Evidence Insurance": Instant upload of event footage.
2-Way Audio: We know CTs are "magnet for haters" and fingerprints. Our app lets you speak through the camera remotely to tell people to back off without triggering the loud Tesla alarm.
Interior View: Good for monitoring the cabin if you leave pets (Dog Mode is great, but seeing them live on video is better)
Where we need your help (The 48V Question): We typically use an OBD-II power connection for 24/7 monitoring on standard 12V ICE vehicles. Since the Cybertruck uses a 48V low-voltage architecture, we are curious:
How are you guys currently powering third-party accessories like radar detectors or dashcams?
Is there a preferred tap point you would recommend for a device like ours?
We are looking for: A few tech-savvy CT owners who are willing to test our unit (we can provide the hardware) and figure out the best installation method for this unique vehicle.
If you are interested in a "Backup Security Layer" for your truck, let’s chat!
Cheers, LAMTTO Team
