Seems best set up for range management with the roof down while on the road.

Had discussion with them on one for CT. EV are a challenge to them due to limited paylaod.

CT length with tailgate down and payload is ok.

Width is not.

Hard pass from them.

Looking like it would have to be specifically customized instead of off the shelf slide in camper for our CT.

A friend suggested a customized fiberglass shell, if you can find someone nearby who'll do it and just DIY the interior.

In the meantime, back to my 4,200 lbs RV and the wait for a range extender to long road trips with trailer camping. CT tent is a no go to the wifey although we started sleeping on the ground and got used to primitive toilets in a former life.

The Alaskan has hard sides, but pop-up truck campers with soft sides (made from heavy vinyl) are more common. If you are in Milpitas (as per your profile), there are two well-known manufacturers not far away in the Sacramento area. Four Wheel Campers is bigger and better known, but they aren't noted for doing custom work. All Terrain Campers is smaller, and reportedly does take on custom jobs.

If you're at all curious, FWC has a nice showroom at the factory, just off Interstate 5 in Woodland. I visited once and it was quite interesting, with no sales pressure. ATC might have something similar.

I contacted 4 well known pop up truck bed manufacturers and they all said NO back in Feb 2024. The only known out of the norm camper made for the Chevy Avalanche where Phoenix Campers made one custom also said no. Would be the best option for camping so i can tow my Jeep as well. Some day.

Contacted All Terrain Campers as @YDR37 recommended.

They are also a no.

Got no reply from Northern Lite and Lance (seen write up they are developing one for Ford Lightning EV). No response from both.

I need a hard-sides pop up for lower range hit and 4 season camping. Wifey is not exactly tolerant of freezing interiors.
