Picked up my AWD recently (VIN 693XX) and the normal hum/whine from the front motor gets into a weird rhythm / synchronization and becomes like an annoying beeping / chirping sound. It happens around 30 mph and again around 70mph. I had a dual motor Model X for 6 years and have driven every other model Tesla and never heard something like this. It is VERY subtle and doesn't sound ominous but damn is it annoying. Maybe it's a CT thing...?

Wondering if anyone has any insight. Appreciate any help in advance!

I remember another member describe something like a Morse code sound a while back, others have had similar issues. I know that’s not super helpful but I don’t think you’re alone.

THANKS!! my original description was going to be 'a frog doing morse code' but thought i'd get ignored lol. Seems like it's the inverter and people say Tesla claims it's normal. Guess I'll just get used to it :(

Inverter chirp and soft gear noise. The gear noise is like a turbine spinning up and winding down. Changes with run time and temp. And, yes, it was annoying at first. It's pretty quiet so now I just ignore it. OTA updates seems to make some difference also but that could be my imagination.

I get the Gear whine, I hear it when its colder or just starting out in the morning like the oil if not coating the gears yet. I remember one member saying his front oil was low and that had me worried. It usually stops depending on temperature with a mile or too at most. I forgot to ask the Tech at the service place about it.

Mine, reminds of the car on the Jetsons. Kind of like it. Also around 30 or 40 mph.

My SC told me it wasn't normal and made a note in my vehicle records. I know mine didn't make the "Jetson" noise for the first 8,000 miles. So if it's normal, my question is why was my truck abnormal for 8,000 miles? :D The lower-pitched and quiet gear whine I consider normal, but not the inverter whine, since it didn't used to make the noise and I find it really annoying. I'm having my SC examine it this Friday (now at 22,000 miles).

Mine really screams at different speeds. I'd guess somewhere around 45mph it is the loudest, but it is very noisy and the loudest EV I've ever been in by a wide margin.

I am a Apr24 delivered Beast, so I am not sure if things have improved. I know the Out Of Spec Beast sounded like mine, so I assumed it was normal for this vehicle.

Mine doesn't (yet) have the chirping/Morse code sound, which I am grateful for. That would drive me nuts. LOL!

Curious if its ever acknowledged or addressed. I can hear it, but I wouldn't say I'm bothered by it. I've also heard it in every CT I've been in.

I picked up my non-FS AWD end of March 2025 and took it in after only having it for two weeks with that chirp you’re describing. The sound was driving me crazy. Mine was pretty loud between 20-40 mph. SC told me if it is over a certain loudness threshold they can address it. To my surprise they said it was over the threshold and ended up replacing the whole front drive unit. It’s so much better now. The new drive unit still has some noise but at a smaller speed range and very quiet
you would really have to pay close attention.

I had more of a grinding noise from the front motor from 30mph and up. They replaced the front drive unit as well and it’s completely gone.

I wouldn’t describe my noise as a chirping noise so it might be a different problem.

It’s summer windows down. I notice when max regen happens and decent amount of acceleration and slower speeds like 10mph or lower my car whines so loud on the outside. Sounds like a squeal. I have a Cyberbeast about 15k miles.

Anyone else?
