Any "On Hold" Foundation Orders Swapping to Non-Foundation?

Many people have put their Foundation Series orders "on hold" while waiting for the non-Foundation Cybertruck. Has anyone tried switching their orders to the non-Foundation version? Is Tesla allowing customers to transfer their $1,000 deposit to the new non-Foundation order?

I have a FS on hold currently and the chat person in the app said that if I switch I’ll be put back in queue. Not sure the time it will take to get an invite though

That's pretty awesome news for those who are interested in doing this! Most people purchasing the non-Foundation at the moment are getting their VINs within a few days at most. Almost everyone who made a pre-release reservation has received an invite. This makes me think that the queue will likely not take very long...

I have a FS pending delivery tomorrow.
I just talked to a rep on the phone. He said I'd have to cancel and rebuy when nonFS is available for ordering....

I do not think there is a queue. (See my other post.) Everyone with a reservation (in US) is getting invites to buy non FS vehicles.

Interesting. I wonder if it’s a training issue then.. I’ve been told twice (not sure if same person) that I’d be put back in queue and not lose the $1,000 I paid. YMMV

There's always a communication issue in the beginning with these things. In my experience, the information obtained from your sales advisor using the text messaging system in the app is more accurate. Furthermore, it gives you written confirmation. The reps on the phone seem to have delayed, sometimes incorrect, information.

I'm going to take delivery of the FS. I need it before end of the year to do write offs (60% bonus depreciation this year, dropping to 40% next year, I moved out of California and need to pay partial CA tax, etc.)

I have a FS order on hold but I also put in another order back in February after the wife saw one in person and said that would be her truck… I got a text from Tesla that said if I do not take my FS off hold it would be canceled on October 20.

Friday I got an email saying my second CT order was ready to be confirgured so I did that and then soon after got an email saying my order (non-FS) was ready for delivery. I completed the steps and waiting to schedule delivery.

But just because you get a vin assigned does that mean you will be getting the truck sooner ? What if all the non FS vins will still have months to wait to get the truck ? When I chose to do the FS I luckily had a guy in my chat that was motivated to help and I had my truck 3 days after my vin but I recall many people who had vins for weeks maybe months still were waiting
