Thinking of getting one of these for freezer use and wanted to see if any of you actually bought one and what your real world experience is. I have the center console fridge in the cabin, this would be for carrying frozen goods.
Can you actually close the smugglers bay without getting a bunch of error codes? Is there an app for monitoring temp from the cabin or warning you if it stops working?
Anything else interesting you want to share?
Does it get consistently cold enough for freezer use?
Looks super cold in the pictures. šŸ˜‚

You wont be able to close the smugglers bay. Compressors need air circulation to work.

That’s my biggest worry too. It looks like they have these little spacers they use in the install video but they honestly don’t look like enough.
That’s why I’m reaching out for some real world experience.
All these guys will tell you just about anything you want to hear to make a sale in my experience and I do not necessarily believe the marketing hype.
Surely SOMEONE bought one of these by now. No? If they hadn’t, I imagine it would no longer be priced the way it is.
