My review from my trip:
The good:
- I can set it up in 2:30 minutes and tear it down in 2:30 minutes.
- I love that I can just rotate it to shift the shade around.
The bad(ish)
- It takes up a 5th of the bed space, which is a lot. 5’x10”x14”
- We have a big trip coming up so I wanted to...
I ended up getting a $100 umbrella and a $60 hitch umbrella holder. We are indeed camping and space is indeed tight.
The hitch mounted umbrella seems to be the easiest solution, even compared to the popup canopy. Sometimes there’s hard rock below and wind (moab) and I don’t want to worry about...
I know, the price seems way too excessive TBH. A quick google search easily finds a hitch umbrella holder for ~$100. And you can mount any large umbrella; 15’x10’ for < $200.
I can appreciate a well designed product, but ~$1,700 seems way too steep. $700 seems more reasonable. It doesn’t have...
For people like me that like the cybertent solution and dont want roof racks efficiency hits, I finally found a good shade solution that doesn’t require a rack mounted awning.
It’s a tailgate hitch mounted umbrella. It’s a very pricy $1,700, but it seems super quick to deploy and tear down...
Sorry, I misspoke. I meant to say I had around a 3/4 of charge left. I bet I could inflate the whole set of tires 3 times over (36->50psi) on one charge.
I filled four tires on one charge 36 to 50 psi. It was somewhere around 3/4 charge left on the battery. I could probably inflate the tires three times over on one charge. It takes a couple of hours to charge back to 100% using the center console usb-c port.
That's possible. That thing slides back and forth so easily and I'm not sure if I double checked it. I like how the hose kit in the video stores flat. If it wasn't for having a low PSI auto shutoff to inflate the cybertent too, I may have kept the TC-BL.

I bought the TC-BL and then saw these posts and the Fanttik and decided to try both side by side and see what I like.
Although I like the TC-BL having 120v and not having to worry about a battery failing, it failed at inflating a single tire, even at 50% power mode (the psi...
< 12 mins is not bad for a single unit to charge all four tires. Some users report that it overheats before inflating the fourth tire if the weather is hot. Still not a bad option though for such a compact unit.
I just got the TC-BL and am now considering returning it. Inflating takes <5 mins...
I’m in the same boat as you. From my research, chickens corner sounds like a pretty easy trail, low risk, and beautiful. That’s what we’re planning on running end of march.
It’s actually very compact. Everything is attached to the board like tetris with minimal tubing connecting it all together.
Here’s a photo I found before connecting it all.
I should really write something up and take photos. It’s all disassembled right now for winter.
I placed the bladder in the smugglers bay using pvc pipe to run the plumbing from the bladder down the smugglers bay drain and drilled a hole in the tail hitch cover with flexible tubing coming out...
