Can we inch the car forward and back a bit after parking because that’s how I used my model Y a lot
Haven’t gotten mine yet but it should be the same. Dumb summon would be just move the forward / back. Smart summon would be leave the parking spot and come to X spot.

🎯

My CT needs inching back back-and-forth more than any other car in my fleet. It’s never where I thought it was going to be! If you care alignment like I do there’s no better tool than dumb summon and that’s all I’ve ever wanted on this rig!

Until we have banish, I agree with those who say that medium distance summon is more of a parlor trick than something most people will use all that often. But short range, summon is incredibly useful and many people on here who don’t have another Tesla and haven’t experienced it won’t understand until they have it.

1. Parking. When you’re just hanging out too far in the parking lot or somebody has parked too close laterally there is no better tool!

2. Towing. Raising and lowering the car to connect/disconnect a trailer is a game changer. If you haven’t tried it you’re really should. Now you’ll be able to at least move the truck forward and out-of-the-way from the trailer without having to get in it. Backing it up to Connect might be a little bit more tricky depending on how sensitive though collision sensor is and the configuration of your trailer.

3. Self-spotting while off-roading. Somebody else mentioned this and this might end up being the killer application if Tesla doesn’t hobble it. You certainly won’t need to go more than 8 miles an hour. If they don’t make it so you can’t use it and off-road mode or while the truck is lifted then this could be the greatest trail assist tool of all time!

Can’t wait!

Yes and you can configue the tolerances like othter Teslas. Still need to hold the forward or backward button down...for now.

Exactly. That’s all I really want is the dumb summon. I don’t understand why they couldn’t ship just dumb summon from the start. I’m constantly having to adjust
