For the issue with trying to leave the HOV lane, what if you leave it in hurry mode? When I'm in hurry mode it seems to want to stay in the far left lane. I use standard so it will get over. The nag seems a little more sensitive, but I suspect it does have something to do with height and eye levels because my FSD has been amazing with drives that take an hour or two through big cities. I do tend to keep my hand with torque on the wheel since I'm used to that from my previous Tesla, so maybe that is a part of it.
Have played with it in all speed profiles. Doesn’t seem to change it. Hopefully we get it one day!

If lane centering (autosteer) can be done within the FSD stack ...
Then is Tesla purposely not including that feature in the Base Autopilot suite (2 features/parts)

Guess ... so they can twist peoples arms to purchase FSD for profit and raising FSD sales counts?

Cybertruck does not have both actual autopilot suite of two features like every other Tesla. It only has TACC. Manual confirms it. See below.
Autopilot = Autosteer (lane centering) + TACC (aka. Adaptive Cruise Control)
If a Cybertruck owner did not purchase FSD (exits, etc) then they'd not have Autopilot just TACC (distance following) but not lane centering.

Tesla Model X manual shows complete Autopilot with TACC and Autosteer.

NOTE:
Its carefully says "Autopilot [partial] Features" not "About [complete] Autopilot".

Earlier versions of the manual did mention Autosteer. So, I'm going to assume it'll be available someday.

Anyone close to Tesla (such as employee, researcher, etc) have more insight and able to share if it is known for sure that the Cybertruck will get Autosteer? Figured it is work an ask.

Tesla, if you see this would you please let us know :)

Autopilot is listed as a standard feature in the standard Cybertruck; although it no longer says on the website.

No, that would violate NDA.

Tesla promised it at Model release back in October.

We’re very eager to get Autosteer on CT. Customer support told me on the phone in Oct it is “definitely supposed to be included.” Service center had conflicting info.

I noticed this the other day:

Tesla Cybertruck Autosteer for Non FSD IMG_4764

I hope this is a good sign

It makes horrible decisions about changing lanes on the freeway. It wants to get out of the HOV lane at every section that allows for it no matter what is around me. Makes you look like a crazy person canceling the turn signal all the time.
I have noticed better HOV behavior when turning "Use HOV lanes" on in Navigation settings.

Doesn't fix bad lane choices in general though. I still notice a lot of behavior that makes me scratch my head.

This doesn't apply to non-FSD configs, but if you don't enter a destination and engage FSD, I get auto steer, even on non-highway roads.

Same. I’m hoping they can at least implement it for highways but I have doubts since they wouldn’t be able to get as much user data for FSD if they gave us the option not to use it. My FSD awareness system is so buggy that I can’t even use it.
i had never heard of auto steer before talking to a Tesla car owner…I told him I didn’t think CT had this feature but that I might have disabled it by turning off some Karen-esque lane departure warning thing that i could never understand

My App on my phone lists "Base Autopilot" under the Specs and Warranty section. I do not have FSD.

Will it automatically keep vehicle in the lane on the highway for a period of time? That’s a pretty common feature in many modestly priced vehicles these days.

Not currently. That's the focus of this thread; non-FSD equipped Cybertrucks don't currently have Autosteer enabled and wondering if/when it will be enabled.
