OK, I've done a few searches here and on YouTube for ideas how to get a battery shield and still have running boards.
The Tesla Terrestrial Kit package includes the rock sliders, but I don't plan to do any of that off road stuff.
I just want protection of the critical belly part of the truck from road debris, but I also want the running boards.
The description of the terrestrial package only talks about the main pan and the rock sliders, as if both "have" to be installed together.
Has anybody here installed the main shield and can determine if the running boards can be installed instead of the rock sliders?

Would still like to know if I can install just the belly pan of the terrestrial package and running boards, but not install the rock sliders. Can't get through to Tesla with this question.

I asked this question in person at the Long Beach Service Center and they said no. They said that they have to install all 3 pieces or its a no go. I showed them that I have the Unplugged Performance rock sliders. They said I need to install the oem rocker panels or else they won't do it. I asked if I brought the truck with no rocker panels or rock sliders and they said that they will refuse to do it until its back to stock. In your case you would have to swap them out after.

I might have a comprehension problem in reading your post, but is that saying the two items I want won't fit or is it just saying Tesla won't install anything but the whole terrestrial package?

They couldn't confirm that their battery armor would fit with the oem rocker panels or aftermarket rock slider/steps and that their whole terrestrial armor package must be installed together.

The heavier duty rock sliders from the terrestrial package hold in the sides of the underbody armor just like our kid does. But the trust rail, rock sliders look almost just like the plastic seals they were replaced, so why worry about that you have rock sliders, even if you won’t use them?

I would assume you could install the running boards on the rock sliders using longer bolts?

I'm guessing I would have to actually see how the terrestrial package looks.
