Boombox Lockchime Volume

I know it’s been stated before about the volume of the boombox USB lock sound being super loud, has anyone figured out a way to make it quieter? I have tried to adjust the volume of the .WAV file using my computer, but that doesn’t seem to do anything at all. It’s still deafening. Don’t get me wrong, in certain hilarious, but I would rather not scare myself as I am walking away from the vehicle. Any ideas?

What software version are you on? I got 2024.14.6 but I'm out of town and haven't checked it out. I really liked the 90s chirp until the volume went crazy, now it's startling... for everyone.

I’m on the latest, but just moved to it today. So it’s not software dependent based on my 2+ weeks with the truck.

I reduced the WAV volume on my PC, that worked.

The vehicle keeps a copy of the sound, so pick a different lock sound before reinserting the USB stick with the updated file.

My lock sound was really low, I opened Boombox and while playing a song I turned the volume up. Now my lock sound is louder.

Interesting. I was unable to modify the lock sound volume in any way.

When navigating, the voice-prompt volume can be adjusted with the scroll wheel while it is speaking. I thought this might work for the lock sound as well, but apparently not.

I used the volume level on the screen and turned it up.
try that and see if it works.

Once I played boombox loud it seems there is no way to turn down the lock sound. Even tried to playback volume lowered. There is no UI for the lock sound volume adjustment.

Try to play music with the outside speaker and adjust the volume then. It might also adjust the lock sound. I haven’t tried it but that would make sense.

cybersound lock is perfectly loud for me but I haven’t tried the other ones since they raised the volume.

I just updated to version v12 (2024.20.1 831cee498fc0) and now the Boombox, Megaphone, sound is very low. Previously it did get louder, and I preferred it that way. Now it's very low. I would hope they would code in a volume control for the Megaphone, and lock sound.
