Does ceramic coating work? when I get a CT, the smart truck, Id like to keep the stainless look instead of spending another $6000 or so for a wrap..
I also understand that there are better ceramic coatings than others. However, It may be necessary to get a Paint protection film or vinyl to protect the stainless from the seagulls that are unavoidable on the ferry. Also in high wind we get a heavy saltwater splashing from heavy seas on the ferry. I've also heard that vinyl or PPF films messes up the nice stainless finish appearance when you do have to remove the wrap.

Some people are reporting good results from Pan the Organizer's 8year ceramic coating, to early to tell how well it holds up long term.

In short the answer is it’s not needed.
Literally anything including deep scratches are easily buffed out.

I put PPF on both of my beasts because I like the color but they actually make the truck more vulnerable to damage

I put an 8 yr ceramic on my AWD 2 months ago and it’s holding up great. Nothing sticks to it and it is easily washed with a ceramic shampoo. I’m really happy with the results It has to be perfectly clean before you coat it however
