My CT charges at 17 miles per hour at home with an Tesla wall charger at 240 volts and 32 amps. My model Y charges at 29 miles per hour with the same charger. Is this normal?

If both vehicles are using the same charger set to the same amperage, the Y will "charge faster" if you go by MPH as it goes farther per kWh.

They both will suck in up to 7.68KwH at that 32 amp rate. In 10 hours, each will take in 76.8KwH. That's about a full "tank" for the Y but only about 61% of the Cybertruck battery.

The Model Y could gain 7.68kWh x 3.77 miles of range per hour = 29 miles of range gained per hour.

The Cybertruck could gain 7.68kWh x 2.5 miles of range per hour = 19.2 miles of range gained per hour.

So, yeah, that's normal.

JFC! There is nothing more annoying to me in the EV world than ppl quoting charging speed in Miles.

When you used to put gas in the vehicle, did you say " ..I put in 300 miles of gas.."?? C'mon!!

Charging is in kW, and 11.5 kW is the most you can charge with the current CT and MY when your charger is connected to a 48-AMP breaker.
