Confusing trade-in valuation listed as “negative trade-in” despite positive equity

CT delivery tomorrow is my second Tesla purchase, and so far they are 2 for 2 at getting the Final Payment math wrong. From the perspective of both a customer and Tesla bull shareholder, this is a rework inefficiency that should be fixed.

Gotcha. So the math on your orders was corrected on delivery day? Did yours show something similar with the amount due being higher than you expected / negative trade in amount etc?

Both times I would have been under charged (and theoretically approached later to make up the difference). The first time was just a math error after a configuration change. Since the delivery center is nearby, I just stopped by a few days before delivery and worked with someone to fix it. This time, they did not include the outstanding lien balance in the calculation (aka 100% equity for trade in). I worked with the sales advisor to resolve.

In my case Tesla offered me 2,000 more than carava and others. On top of that, I got the added benefit of tax savings. I had a 2022 Toyota Tacoma trdpro.

Update:

I removed the trade in and the negative trade in went away Leaving only the $20k I said I wanted to put down.
delivery is this Saturday.
