I completed my trade-in today with Tesla, not impressed with the lowball offer, my Model Y has Acceleration Boost, Tow Package, Tinted Windows, and Clear PPF.

They reply ”Please restore to original….and we can redo your trade-in bla bla”

Ok, so I will walk out rip the tint off, the PPF? Nah! I grabbed a towel, bit down and then bent over!

Recommendation: Go to Carmax 1st for a 7-day quote before getting bent over at Tesla.

I considered doing a trade in but ended up keeping my model 3 as a daily driver so I don't have to replace expensive tires. Trucks for truck stuff.

I kept my 23 y performance, lifted and 18” tires. Glad I did, it’s an easy grocery getter. They wanted to give me $25K if I put it back to stock.

"It's cheaper to fix out of pocket buying used and not having a car payment, then buying new."

Absolutely true.

99.5% of new cars are a depreciating asset that usually plummet 10% - 15% in value the second you drive off the lot. Ford GT40, Porsche Carrera GT, etc. are the rare exceptions to the rule.
Absolutely! There is no need to buy a new car, especially if you can find a used one in great condition. I often check out carvana for current prices. Sometimes it is possible to sell a used car at the same (or almost the same) price which never happens to a car you bought new.
