CT DASH AREA GRILL/VENT & WINDSHIELD GLARE

Has anyone else noticed a noticeable reflection or glare in the bottom portion of their windshield from the skinny grill or vent that runs horizon towards the nose of the dash?

See pictures below/attached for reference.

I have considered painting it matte black or a deeper black to reduce the glare of the vent in the windshield.
Has anyone done this & taken pictures?

I bought a dash mat…..they are available at Amazon Custom made for the CT. The mat reaches the inside edge of the windshield and cuts out considerable glare.
