It's quite easy to get bad mileage in Chill mode, just as it is easy to get good mileage in the other modes.
The biggest detractor is speed. Expect to lose about 10% for every 5 mph over 60 and gain it in the other direction (down to about a max at 30 mph).

I had a Leaf with 88 miles range. I had one trip that I did periodically that if, in the summer, I did at about 60 mph, I could round trip it easily.
But if I was in the HOV lane going 70 or above and/or cooler temperatures, I'd have to stop and charge on the way home.
Since in GA with an EV plate, I can travel for free in the HOV/HOT lanes, I avail myself of it. But there were many times that I'd hope that they traffic would get congested and slow down, so I didn't have to charge.

It just takes time.

And it really doesn't matter. How many times in your daily commute have you come anywhere near running out of charge? So is it a big deal if you get 350 Wh/mi vs 450?
Good info. So what I am hearing is let it rip out of Chill mode. Haha!

All kidding aside, I am experimenting with different methods to see if anything significantly changes the metrics of the efficiency of operation. I am curious what my Wh/mi will be on longer trips. I am mainly doing short hops/ city driving.

Thanks again for the info and sorry you had a Leaf (kidding). Haha

Again, chill mode is mostly for the driver and passengers. Range is going to be 99% related to speed and some to temperature.
Get up on a flat road and run a few 15-30 minute sprints at various speeds. It's really obvious.
