my question is: Am I supposed to be doing follow up steps? like I said all I have is my confirmation number.

Depends. Do you want to order earlier than what your RN suggests based on data collected here? If so, do something about it. If you want to patiently wait in line (like many of us) and not order a Foundation Series CT, then no, you do not need to do anything else - just watch your inbox. But you may be in for quite a wait.
If you do wish to jump ahead and place an order for your Foundation Series CT and you fit the criteria as a long-term TSLA shareholder, there are steps you can take.
